This hotel overall is very nice. The bedding was wonderful and a good night's sleep is always one of the most important parts of the stay in my opinion. You can tell it is an older hotel that has been redone, so they had to work with what they had to some degree. Smaller bathrooms for instance. But the decor was nice, bedding really nice, wifi was a little slow in the morning but fast in the evening. I don't know if I got lucky with my room but I barely heard any noise from other rooms or the halls.
I did have a couple of maintenance type issues but they weren't major enough to report. The toilet handle had to be jiggled to get it to quit running sometimes, and I couldn't get the heater/ac to do anything but go on fan on. It was a little chilly in the room but not enough I was really bothered by it so I let it go.
The housekeepers need to vacuum up the hair in the bathrooms and not just move it around with a damp mop.
The last night I did hear someone walking in the rocks under the window (vs the sidewalk next to the rocks) which was a little creepy, so I called down to the desk and was told they would send security around to make sure everything was okay.
The hotel is also hard to find. Even more so if your GPS isn't completely up to date. You basically bear right at a point where there are three rights and hope for the best.
After staying two nights on business I decided to stay one more night in Omaha and have my husband fly in to meet me and we would drive on for a mini-vacation of sorts. I called down to the front desk and said I was inclined to stay out by the airport in a slightly less expensive hotel, but I also liked where I was and hated to move. I asked if they were willing to give on the price a bit, and I'm thinking about $20-$25 would have convinced me to stay. The hotel didn't seem very busy and the manager at the desk would go one more night at my already discounted rate. I'm guessing it was discounted because we have to book through an agency, but at the time I booked I could've gotten the same room for $10 less booking direct. So I'm not sure what the discount was. Anyway, they were nice but firm that the price would stay the same and so I picked up and moved to another hotel and saved about $50. I would've been quite happy to stay another night.
I don't blame them for sticking with it, but it would've been a nice customer service and bought them a little brand loyalty in a time where travel dollars are tight and we go more on reviews than brand, but more often go off the beaten path wherever we can.
Still, overall, nice and I would stay there again. Omaha hotels seem to suffer a lot of bad reviews for anything in the under $200 price range. Makes it hard to pick a good place.
