“Ah, a suite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

So I guess I have never actually stayed in a suite before because I was very impressed with the many rooms and how it is basically larger than some apartments! It was very clean and nicely furnished. The drains were way too slow, maddeningly slow. We stayed here for a conference otherwise we never would have paid this kind of rate for a hotel stay. The grounds were incredibly nice. They have made a very peaceful area with ponds and seating. The elevator levels were tricky to figure out. The breakfast was all the way down but the lobby was level 2. The food service there--breakfast and happy hour, plus the restaurant for lunch--were wonderful. Our view out the window was overlooking a rooftop. We didn't have difficulty with parking but the lot did get very full.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope your conference was a success! We value your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve our service. I’m glad you were able to enjoy many of the amenities we have to offer. I apologize for the confusion of the floor levels. Embassy Suites are known for the “River” layout. It starts in the lobby and winds down through Manager’s reception and ends at the breakfast area. Again, Thank you for your kind review and I hope we can serve you again the future.

The only reason we chose this space is it's proximity to an annual meeting and the old market district .This hotel is in need of a facelift. It is the typical Embassy, fake plantings hanging from ledges and at elevators. Toiletries are decent quality but limited to lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Rooms are clean but housekeeping uses a terrible fragrance/deodorizer after doing the rooms. We had to open our window as much as possible and open the door and that did not help much. The included breakfast has deteriorated over the years, less fresh fruit, no biscuits and gravy for the guys and bacon is kept behind the omelet station so guests don't take too much. At the stupid price of $299. per nite this is just wrong. Omelets are made to order and the bus boys are prompt and polite. It seems everything in town is inflated for this event but I will try somewhere else after several years of giving them over $2K (2 suites) per visit. Most of staff is very pleasant. Pillows are pretty hard so bring your own. Pool is just there to say they have one.

Room Tip: Have not had a good room, you either look over the air conditioning or parking lot.

Thank you for taking the time to share you experience with us. Please accept my apology for the lack of service and general disappointment in our hotel. We do realize our hotel is in need of many updates and we have several upgrades scheduled for this year. Some of which is updating our Atrium area, elevators and banquet spaces. Again, I do apologize. Your business is important to us and we would welcome the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

I've stayed here on business countless times and have never had an unpleasant experience. The breakfast (especially the omelet station) alone make it stand above the rest in the downtown area. The kids liked the indoor courtyard with the waterfalls and fish-filled stream that runs the length. I took advantage of the manager's reception on more than one occasion to enjoy a cold beer among colleagues. Overall, one of my favorite places to stay when away from home.

Thank you so much for your kind review of our hotel. I am glad you are always able to enjoy many of the amenities we have to offer. We are proud to be a hotel that offers a full made-to-order breakfast for our guests. It makes me happy to hear your children enjoy the fish and the river! My kids also think that is the best feature of my “work”. It pleases us to hear you always have a pleasant stay. We value your business and hope to continue serving you on your next trip to Omaha.

This hotel is in the best location in town. It is literally across the street from some of the best restaurants and bars. Parking is across the street as well; I wish it wasn't. Free breakfast in the morning is also a plus but it can get very busy, especially on the weekends.

Had a great time in Omaha, able to walk to all of our events. Hotel was clean and offered everything we were looking for; pool, fitness center, and complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was exceptional; loved the omelet bar. Staff was excellent, polite, and very professional.

Was in Omaha last week on business and stayed at the Embassy Suites Old Market. Great location and very good service. Great fast breakfast and to-go options. will stay there again. the towels are a little scratchy, but hey, it's not exactly home :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

This is a great hotel. It has all of the needed amenities, with quality furnishing but is not overly fancy with lots of expensive additions that don't add values, but would add to the cost. Embassy has an all-suites hotel, so all of the rooms have a living room and a separate bedroom. Since I was alone on this trip, the two rooms were unnecessary, but normally that would have been a great feature. The room was clean. There is a coffee maker with coffee and tea, a refrigerator and microwave. Nice beds and bedding. There were a variety of light fixtures and lamps, all with wall switches which made getting the right amount of light for the right situation simple. I order room service for dinner one night and it was delivered promptly and the meal was very good.

The seven floor atrium (with the rooms around the perimeter) is a very nice feature. There is large "river" that runs from one end of the atrium to the other, with very large beautiful koi in it. He sound of water is very pleasant. There is a free breakfast and evening reception included in the nightly cost. The breakfast was okay, not great, but they do offer to make eggs and omelets to order. This cost is about $200 a night including tax. This a fair amount. There are less expensive options, but I think there is very good value for the money here. The breakfast, the reception, the free airport shuttle, the two room suites. This is a very nice place to stay and it is right across the street from the Omaha Old Market, which is several square blocks of great shops and restaurants.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! Your comments about our hotel during your stay, is exactly what we try to achieve. We believe in giving our guests the most value for the cost of a room which can be challenging in our industry today. I am so happy we could make your stay comfortable and we hope to see you again!
