“Bum Steer”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

Local tips are not always the best. Family style place with friendly service. Everything was fine except the salad, all iceberg, and the steaks. My sirloin and my wife's ribeye were cooked correctly and portions were large, but were tasteless. I mean, really, here in Omaha? We were very disappointed and think we have had much better steaks at Outback, as a reference.

“A visit to the 50's”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

Old-fashioned steak & seafood restaurant, nothing fancy, plain lettuce salads, plain white bread, canned green beans. However the steak, small filet mignon, was very good and the baked potato adequate, but with sour cream in a package. The decor is also like a trip back in time. However the service was exceptional. So if you're in the mood for some simple food, served well, Piccolo's will do.

“Great old steakhouse by downtown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

Get the 20 oz Tbone for just $24.95 and it comes with everylike, soup, salad, hashbrowns, bread and mostacolli. Everything taste great. My steak was done to perfection with good seasonings. I have had other menu items for lunch and they were all pretty good. For dinner, just get the tbone. You can't go wrong.

“In town for Berkshire AGM weekend, food and service were terrible”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

Where to start? Reservations for 9:15 friday night could not be filled until 9:45pm. So sorry, we forgot to mention when taking your res that we had a large group booked that would back things up. So you get to wait and so sorry again. Thanks a lot.

Steaks were big but thin and not as tasty as Gorat's. No char grill just gray because they were just heated up. Salad was cold and plain as reported by others but flavourless and Wonder bread in the basket (unbelievable). Service was average and she was chewing gum and shirt untucked. What crap!

Pass on Piccolo Pete's and go to Gorat's and see Warren.

“Old time family restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

Steak was good, veal parmesan just so-so. Salad was just lettuce - good and cold but absolutely nothing in it like tomatoes or other additions although the dressing was good. Couldn't believe they served plain old sliced bread - would have expected Italian bread or something more special. Music in the dining room clashed with different music coming from the bar.

Service was fine and the dining room reminded me of a Supper Club in the Italian section of town in upstate NY 50 years ago.
