I've have quite a lot of pizza in my life. I've had pizza from the chains, pizza from places like this, pizza in the states, pizza in Rome. This here is real Italian pizza.

“Good pizza in quaint old neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Had a pleasant first experience with Orsi's Pizza.

We purchased the 1/4 sheet hamburger pizza along with 6 slices of garlic bread.

The pizza was good. The crust was a bit thick, but it was nice and chewy and had good flavor. Pizza could have used a bit more sauce - by the next day, leftovers were a bit on the dry side. Overall, the beef topping and cheese packed a lot of flavor, so the pizza was quite good. The 1/4 sheet is plenty for 2 people (6 slices each about 4x4"). I will say, I am a cold pizza leftovers kind of guy, and the crust was thick enough to warrant a warming in the microwave to soften up after a night in the fridge.

Garlic bread was very good. And very large. 6 slices of garlic bread equates to 2 eight-inch half-loaves of garlic cheese bread. Plenty of garlicy-butter flavor and lots of cheese. I don't know if they provide marinara sauce at request, but we ended up using a jar of spaghetti sauce we had in the fridge.

The place itself is not a restaurant. More of a local neighborhood deli that has pizza takeout. We called in and were told it would be about 30 minutes until it was ready. The store also has a selection of italian meats and cheeses. We ended up buying a couple cups worth of freshly grated romano cheese to use as pizza topping. Ended up being 1/3 pound for $3.

Overall, will definitely go back.

Love this place. I believe it is a 100 year old bakery. The newer owner is a great guy who works hard and delivers a great product. There is nothing like Orsi bread; toasted. Their pizza is delicious too.

“Great pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2011

It's out of the way and a little hard to get to, but the pizza is worth the trip. This is the real Italian version - nice bready crust. Don't leave without a loaf of their Italian bread.

“Horrible Bland Pizza”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2011

I disagree with all the other reviews. We bought one of these groupon type daily deal coupons to try it for the first time. After driving way to the east edge of Omaha and waiting 30 minutes. The half sheet pizza was so bland with no flavor to it. I threw the rest in the trash. I would not go back. They could at least have a couple chairs and tables in the place.
