“Favorite Sushi in Omaha”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Blue Sushi and Sake Grill is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Omaha. They consistently serve high quality, delicious sushi with fresh ingredients. While their menu is a little pricey (my husband and I plan on spending about $100 when we eat there), it's money well spent. Their rolls are delicious. We are not keen on the seaweed paper, but they are more than happy to replace the wraps with soy paper at no extra charge (unlike Hiro 88). Their drinks are also very good. Our favorite dish on the menu is the ceveché style white fish; definitely worth a try. The atmosphere is calm downstairs in the grill area with tables and chairs where you can sit. Upstairs at the Sake Bombers Lounge the feel is more trendy and modern, where you can sit on couches for a more intimate feel. They have a pretty good happy hour with discounted drinks, appetizers and rolls. With three locations in Omaha, definitely my most preferred sushi eatery!

“Great American sushi.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

There's hardly anything traditional about the sushi here, and that is ok. The food is delicious, but very pricey (true for any really good sushi place). They do have happy hours for their sushi, if you want to avoid the full price. The atmosphere here is very trendy and may not suite some people's tastes. The furniture is modern and sleek with light up box tables. If you're looking for something that feels less like a westcoast night club, then go to their location in the Shops of Legacy off of 168th and West Center. The atmosphere is much more subtle and relaxed. I know there's a third location in downtown Omaha, but I've never been in there, so I don't know what the situation is there.

“Wonderful sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Some of the best sushi in Omaha. Consistent high quality across all their different sushi rolls. Steaks and seafood and salads for those who aren't sushi fans also looked really good.

“Happy Hour is a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Best value during happy hour. Set box menus for lunch also. Immnediate access to the sushi sashami menu so you can start ticking off your selections right away. Average service though, somewhat slow. We tried lots of items and everything was great. Very addicting.

I'd say skip the chinese menu items and stick to what they do best.

“Best Japanese restaurant in Omaha”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

It's got a refreshing "blue" and cool interior, the place has a die hard loyal lunch crowd and they even have Japanese beer on tap. Wonderful sushi infusion dishes to meet local tastes, generous portions and very friendly staff, One of my best friends who lives in Omaha eats there weekly. Gyoza dumplings are fantastic...
