“Beautiful and relaxing, take a little stroll”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Depending on when you visit, you can see various seasonal flowers. The venue is not very large, so you can easily cover it in a few hours. Small cafe onsite, but this would just be a short stop on your way to the zoo perhaps.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Went there with my sister and we were there a couple of hours. I especially liked the mini train driving all over. Beautiful plants and the landscaping was very cool too!

“My favorite place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Any time of year! Absolutely fabulous! Walk the grounds (recommended) or take a one hour tram ride around the gardens. Acres of gardens! There is also a garden with miniature trains. The walk is paved and accessible. There is a lovely lunch room (cafeteria style). Lots of special events. Walk, sit and enjoy on one of the many benches, take photos, enjoy beauty!!! Well maintained and nationally recognized gardens. You will not be disappointed. Up the hill from the gardens (and visible from the interstate) are two large Union Pacific locomotives. You can get close to them, but cannot climb on them. The tram ride will take you up to the trains (otherwise,it is a very long steep stair climb). Plenty of parking at the gardens. Great gift shop. Just across the interstate to the south of the Gardens (on 10th Street) is the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. Also a 'must see'. We live in Omaha and enjoy walking around the gardens at least once a month-spectacular in every season...Enjoy!

“Wonderful find in Omaha”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

You wouldn't necessarily expect to find an expansive and fascinating botanical garden in Omaha, but there it was, just down the street from the incredible Omaha Zoo. Acre after acre of varying motifs, ecologies, and habitats, including formal European gardens, a Japanese tori and garden, and an edible landscape. Take the tram tour to get the lay of the land, and then prepare to spend most of the day strolling through the grounds. It's almost like visiting different countries, all in Omaha. Spring would probably be the ideal time there, but I'm sure every season has its special delights.
