“Over-rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

I can't understand all the glowing reviews. The location is uninspiring. The food is pseudo-nouvelle, pretentious, slightly over-salted, and combined into somewhat flavourless combinations. The edible flower on each dish seems unintentionally ironic. However 35 euros for 3 courses (though tiny) plus various amuse-bouches was not wholly unreasonable.

“A memorable meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

We were so pleased that we ate at this restaurant on our last night in the South of France. We promised to write a review because this little place deserves a great one. It is in a less visited town than the surrounding towns which give it a more relaxed and authentic vibe. The food is great, very inventive, and untraditional but it all worked. We loved the set menu and the dining experience which totalled seven tasty well timed dishes, all well portioned and with a good reasonably priced wine-list to match. Lutz is a very welcoming host who speaks perfect English and who is rightfully proud of his restaurant. The evening before we’d eaten at a Michelin starred property in St Paul, with great food but terrible service and much heftier price tag. In many ways this little find was a much more satisfying experience of interesting food, great service and less fuss. Try a get a table outside on the street and watch the slow pace of goings on.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012 via mobile

Stumbled across the restaurant at lunch time but they were fully booked. Menu looked good so we went back for dinner. Superb! Creative dishes, friendly service and good value. Will probably go back even though we are only in the area for a week.

“Get ready for the operating room experiance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2012

Was dissapointed by the food. They serve the same course tonall guests. We arrived early and has to wait for other guest to arrive to start eating. Took over 2 hours. Room looks like an operating room... All white. I would probably not go back for dinner.

“My best experience on the Cote d'Azur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

Luckily we are quite often on the French Riviera, and I can probably testify we have tested a LOT of places there. L'atelier des saveurs is one of those places where you don't want anything to be changed. The Chef Francis Scordell takes you through his creativity to incredible moments of discovery on things you wouldn't have ordered spontaneously. Service is also excellent without being pompous. Mr Lutz speaks several languages and this is very appreciated for non french speakers!
Probably the most important thing here is that it is not a tourists place in its pejorative definition. Those guys are experienced and the value for money is just perfect and unbeatable to me. The place to go if you are in the region and are looking for an excellent restaurant.
