“Referred to us by Jerome at Hotel Poete”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

On the second floor of the building, open Sunday night a plus, wife does the cooking and he serves the tables. This is a classic home cooked French food, set to a high standard and reasonable prices; hermitage (excellent) wine was 28 euro's about 10 more than you would pay at the market, good value; 68 total tab for a great dinner.

“Good food, an unbeatable location and attentive service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Lunch menu at € 29
Loved the starter - 5 different ways to serve the asparragus now in season - creamed soup, puré, tempura !!, steamed, thinly sliced raw. And of course a combo of white and green.
The main of quails tasty and nicely presented.
Dessert a variation on a lemon crumble, very rich and perfectly balanced off with a tangy lemon sorbet. Another winner. Enjoy :)
Reservation essential on busy days.

“Delightful location & meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

To say that the setting is perfect goes without saying. Noisy because of the rapids, but what a view! Great scallop main, excellent fresh fruit tiramisu, good wine recommendation. Yes, it's a bit pricey but the location alone makes it fabulous. Service was polite and efficient.

“So glad we tried it out!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

After walking through the lovely (albeit touristy) village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, we decided to head up the hill to see the sights. We stumbled by Restaurant Phillip and decided to stop in and have a beverage and were more than pleasantly surprised when we realized what a gem this place is!

The view is outstanding with patio tables overlooking the Sorgue/water, ducks and fish swimming by, lovely breeze in the forest setting. There are 2 areas to choose from as well as the indoor restaurant.

The server was very pleasant and we ended up ordering a few very tasty salads (penne with chicken, cherry tomatoes etc and another with fresh local mesclun mix, tomatoes, mozerella etc) and wine/beer. They also had a lovely menu for those looking for full course meals rather than the lighter fare we choose.

Not sure what the other places in the village offer but the view alone is worth the visit here so the tasty food we had was just a bonus!

We had lunch on this special location, along the fast-flowing water. Price quality ratio is perfect. What a tasty amuze, a perfect trout. A delicious taste sensation on this tourist resort
