We used the Longhouse for a one-night stay after a late flight into Anchorage. The shuttle service arrived promptly after our call and check-in was fast and easy. The hotel is located near several other airport hotels just off Spenard Rd. on Wisconsin St. Some of our clothes had gotten damp after sitting on the tarmac in the rain in Dallas, and we used the dryers in the guest laundry in the middle of the night. Breakfast was available early and included cereals, bagels, muffins, etc. We used the shuttle again in the morning to go back to the airport to pick up the rental car. All the personnel we met at the hotel were friendly and responsive to our needs. We would use the Longhouse again as a choice for an airport hotel in Anchorage.

Close to airport, somewhat far from downtown anchorage. Good value for the money. Stayed in a Jr. suite. Room was spacious, clean, fridge,micro, free onsite parking, continental breakfast. Did not like the fact that we were on the second floor, but there was no elevator, so had to lug suitcases up and down the stairs. If you're looking for accomodations close to the airport then this is for you, otherwise I would recommend staying closer to downtown.

This was the worst place one could ever stay. The staff was great, but the location is scary. Not to mention you feel like you will have spiders crawling over you all night long. Among many other bad aspects, one could never get a good nights sleep here!

I stayed here for business the first week of March 2007, and the staff was helpful, courteous and accommodating.

The rooms were standard, with queen size bed, desk, cable TV. Parking was free, as were some muffins and bagels for breakfast. Wireless internet was also free and strongest around the lobby area, but my room was about 5 doors down and still had access.

Location wise, it's easily accessible from the freeway and the downtown area was a 5-10 minute drive from there. Great access to Spenard Road and Northern Lights Boulevard, which get's you to most major streets in Anchorage.

Gwennie's Restaurant (an Anchorage establishment, apparently) is around the corner from the hotel - and there's even a great day spa/salon across the parking lot.

Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when in Anchorage! After heading up to Fairbanks for a few days, it felt great to "come home" to Long House Hotel.
