This hotel was nice although it is haunted. I am not kidding. It is well documented. I saw people on the walls and there were sounds from the room next to me and there was no one in the room. I changed rooms because something was staring at me at night. This was in room 106. Room 107 and 103 were empty and yet when I walked by the door would click as if someone was going to open from the other side. The mgt. did state that there are "issues" that they have tried to solve.

Hotel was immaculate, staff friendly, beds and 4 pillows very comfortable. It was very close to the airport. Shuttle was provided to airport. Delicious hot chocolate chip and oatmeal raisen cookies at night. Small store for snacks. Restaurant had a large buffet as well as ala cart items from the menu.

Six of us stayed here before and after a fishing trip, like nearly everyone else in the hotel. A basic hotel that is looking quite tired. The front desk staff are easily confused and managed to charge me an additional 14 nights that took months to resolve. The rooms are typical and functional. The best feature is its proximity to the airport and that's about it. Eating out was a challenge and surprisingly there are none of the quality restaurant chains in Anchorage. We found the Club Paris downtown was consistently good for steaks.

I booked this hotel the night before an early morning flight based on Trip Advisor reviews. The front desk staff was not terribly friendly and never did bring up the extra towels I requested. The bartender, however, was very friendly and helpful and the room spacious and well kept. The restaurant was closed for renovation and so, for whatever reason, that meant that breakfast started later than usual (6:30 instead of 6:00). It was very irritating to find that, at 6:25 a.m., there wasn't a hint of breakfast being set out and there were 6 of us on the 6:30 shuttle to the airport. WIth that many people leaving just as breakfast was due to start, it would have been good customer service to have something out for those folks. They finally did put some things out and the shuttle driver waited for all of us to grab something - which turned out to be stale bagels and donuts. I'd probably stay here again if I needed something close to the airport, but they could use some improvements in the customer service category.
