My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriot Anchorage Airport as our last night of a two week Alaska vacation. It was disappointing. Problems began immediately when our shuttle was 50 minutes late picking us up to take us to the hotel. The hotel front desk was vague about the driver's ETA and we were told repeatedly that Anchorage is "spread out" and that the driver was on his way. Imagine our surprise when it took a total of 8 minutes to get to the hotel once we were picked up. That aside, we were also disappointed by the look and feel of the lobby and our room, especially considering how much it was costing us. The hotel had a shabby feel and was below what we've come to expect from Marriot. The bed was incredibly soft, far softer than any other hotel bed I've ever slept in. But to be fair, it was very clean, relatively quiet, and located very close to the Anchorage airport. All things considered, I would recommend staying downtown and driving the extra 10 minutes to the airport rather than staying in the airport area and I would not recommend this hotel to others.
