Stayed one night at this location on 14 July 2007. Clean, comfortable and spacious room had two double beds in the sleeping area plus a small sofa and chair in the living/kitchenette area. Kitchenette includes fridge and coffeepot. Bathroom sink is outside the bathroom itself. Bathroom is large.

Breakfast area next to lobby entrance. Could make your own waffles, or enjoy the usual staple of cold breakfast treats. Internet access available via public computer in the room next to the eating area.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites for a total of four days on two separate occasions during our Alaska vacation. I have no complaints about the hotel itself or room accommodations, but found my interactions with the front-desk staff to be less than ideal. On the whole I found them to be uninformed and generally unhelpful. For example, upon checking out during our first stay I asked for directions to the Seward Highway, which ended up being virtually around the corner and, as I understand, is the only major route out of the city. The staff member was unfamiliar with the highway, which was bad enough, and promised to find another employee to help. But instead of actually doing so, she continued to take phonecalls and help other guests who were behind me in line while I stood there, waiting. I eventually gave up, left, and found the route myself.

My only other concerns about the hotel was the fact that the laundry "facilities" were a single small washer and dryer -- which guests were in constant competition to use while we were there, and the temperature of the pool, which was too cold for us adults to enjoy (the kids didn't seem to mind).

Otherwise, as other writers have pointed out, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and the breakfast much more than adequate. The fact that we returned for a second stay I suppose speaks for itself.

I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites while in town for the Mayor's Midnight Sun Marathon. The staff were well set-up for our group, and other travelers who were also attending the marathon.

The self-serve breakfast was great, especially the make-your-own waffle iron. The lounge area was a good place to wait for our travel companions, and there were two stations for free internet access. The hotel is not near many restaurants, except for Outback across the street, and there's a Walmart on the next block (good for incidentals). There's a free shuttle to downtown, approx every 30 min., and free airport service (24 hour!).

Our room was a good size and clean. Two queens, I believe, plus a sofabed/sitting area. There was also a desk and small kitchen/bar area, which was really convenient while we were getting ready for our race. The hotel provided us with sleep masks for the midnight sun, and the blackout drapes worked for us.

I would definitely stay here again. It is not superfancy, but extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Arrived in Anchorage at 11pm and hotel was easy to find from the airport. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Plentiful continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
