I knew that this would be a plain box hotel -and it was. The big benefit was that we could fit our family of 4 in one room. The hidden benefit was the great breakfast during the week (not as good on the weekend!) We stayed here on the day we arrived in Anchorage and again when we left. It's near the Wal-mart so that was handy. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.

This hotel is fabulous; it is clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff is great; every request we made was met with a smile and they fulfilled it immediately.

There is a small kitchen sink with undercounter fridge, a desk and a pullout couch with a television in this area. Further into the room we had 2 double beds and another tv which was great because we had our kids with us and could watch separate shows. The room and bathroom was very clean and the beds comfy.

I was not optimistic about this hotel, but it was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious; I love waffles and you can make your own. They also had eggs, sausage, bagels, enough to truly have a full breakfast.
There is a movie theatre right behind the hotel so we walked over one night and went to the movie. Great place, great staff!

The Springhill Suites was a great hotel. Out of town so you would need a car. The Seward Highway was only about 2 blocks away - so very convenient. The suite had 2 x queen beds and a sofa bed - but there is no separate bedroom. There was also a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities. The reception staff were very helpful and courteous. The free breakfast was great - you could eat in or take away. There was a good range of food including fresh fruit and make your own waffles! There is an Outback restaurant nearby and a Denny's about 10 minute walk away as well as Wall Mart. The Pizza Hut near Wall Mart was not good. There is an indoor swimming pool and laundry facilities. A paper is delivered to your door each weekday morning and there is a cinema right next door - if you have time! Would recommend to my friends.

This is the most comfortable place in Anchorage, my husband needed to cash travelers checks and the front desk had the shuttle help him to take us where we needed to go. Their is a newspaper outside your door in the morning, I had problems with my laptop and the front desk had someone assist me. I will book again.
