“Large room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Three of us stayed here for two nights. We had two large double beds and a sitting area and a large bathroom, with the basin in the main room, as we found in other Alaskan hotels.
We found the 'fridge noisy at night, and had to turn off the air conditioning.
There was coffee and tea making facilities and one could get ice down the passageway.
We were a bit late for breakfast and thus experienced limited cereals and the scrambled egg was overdone, but one could make waffles.
The hotel is about ten plus minutes walk from downtown, and we passed a number of restaurants on the way.
We locked ourselves out of the room safe, and it took a while to get someone to come up and re-set it, but they came later that evening.

Room Tip: We had 312 which was a good sized room

We stayed two nights here during our summer trip to Alaska. All aspects of our stay were pleasant and comfortable. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The standard breakfast was good. We used the laundry facilities and they worked well (coin-operated). Parking was free. Wifi worked well. Overall I'd definitely recommend this Quality Suites.

first and last night of our weekly tour set us up in this hotel, We had a great room for the first night and unfortunately got room 118 for our last night. This room is located beside the generator and elevator motor room. It shouldn't even be open to guests, it was impossible to sleep. everything had been paid for as it was included in our tour. Despite this unhappy ending of our stay, we enjoyed the good location, easy access to the center of town on foot.
Friendly staff also.

Room Tip: refuse room 118 because of noise

We stayed at this hotel eight years ago and were happy to see that it was a hotel included on a recent tour of Alaska. We were only there two nights but I would've happily stayed longer to enjoy more of Anchorage. The location is in walking distance of the downtown area and only a block from the museum. All of the staff is friendly and helpful but we especially give our thanks to Jenny who helped us with an item we'd left behind on a tour bus.
Overall, this hotel was exceptional. The room was super clean, comfortable, and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was well supplied, fresh, and abundant and the wi fi came through quickly. When we return to Alaska, we'll return to this hotel.

Everything was above expectations. Great welcome at the front desk (easy, quick and efficient) and she was superb throughout our 3 days in Anchorage. Great service, great (large) room, clean, WiFi. The complimentary breakfast was as excellent as can be expected with prompt clean-ups and reset of plentiful food and choices. Shuttle service was prompt, courteous and helpful. Location near Anchorage Museum and easy walk to restaurants was welcome. And we slept so comfortably. Overall, this was a great welcome hotel for our arrival to Alaska.

Alaska was our 50th state we've visited and the lady at the front desk sure knew how to welcome my wife and I. For someone operating the front desk alone she did a fantastic job. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The location period was great, everything was pretty much walking distant. We honestly saved the best for last.

The room was big enough, and comfortable. We liked the additional room, it was a departure from the "bed" room. Free newspaper in a.m.
The shuttle was timely, both from airport to hotel; and hotel back to the airport. The driver was friendly and informational.
Breakfast was plentiful, but not all things were quickly replenished when emptied.
The front desk staff was friendly & helpful.
Only 1 out of 2 desk computers was working, but it was nice to have available!
Odd - no phone books in the rooms (?). One must go to front desk to borrow theirs. It wasn't handy when deciding on which restaurant to choose.
We found it to be a short walk to the downtown area Parks nearby also, nice.
Bus stop next to hotel, too.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the one way street, which borders one end of hotel.
