On june 2006 I stayed here with my oldest daughter who had taken me on an Alaskan cruise and then to Anchorage where we stayed for three days (this time I stayed 6 days giving us more to see and do). I wrote a review upon arriving back home---and here I am once more--another cruise (this time I brought my youngest daughter) and where did we stay--at the Alaskan Leopard again. And now---another review and a high-five to the owners Tom & Bobbie. This trip was just as wonderful the second time as was the first---superb accomodations and scrumptious breakfasts that last most of the day! One of my favorites was the sourdough pancakes----yummy ! Tom & Bobbie are gracious hosts and took such good care of us. We were gone most of the daytime but were always looking forward to the comfortable beds. This time I used them for our cruise transfer and the trip was really amusing---some corny jokes that kept us laughing and took us on a little side tour or two which added to the transfer making it so unique and not as boring as a taxi ride. We had a rental car reserved and Tom dropped us right at the airport and took our luggage on to the B&B---try getting that type of service with other sources. The Arctic Mood room had been renovated and was very pleasant and comfy. I did, however, miss their dog who used to greet everybody. I know they really grieved for him---maybe the next time I come, they will have another one !! The view from the deck is great and I would sit for hours in the big family room and watch TV and get on the computer (which was available for you). My daughter and I certainly enjoyed A;aska and can't wait to return. I will take advantage the next time I come and will use the Leopard Trax so Tom can help me see more---my next quest is to see the Northern Lights and this will be my place to return. They are such wonderful Christian people and cater to any and all of your requets for info, directions, and are always happy to just have conversations with you. NO hotel can offer you what they do. I will be back again and hope they are still here with the B&B.

Comfortable room, big and delicious breakfasts every day and pleasant conversation with the hosts Tom & Bobbie is what we founded at Alaskan Leopard B&B. Such an experience to stay there, where you have your own private bathroom and nice towels to pamper yourself, also you can order your breakfast for next day selecting from the many options they have and have it ready at the time you have selected it; on top of that the hosts shared with us tips about the best places to visit in Alaska and the world. If you plan to visit Alaska and stay in Anchorage, we highly recommend this B&B, they are great hosts.

I am staying at this lovely B&B now and have been here for a few days. I can say that everything I had read about this place is absolutely true—only a whole lot better! Tom and Bobbie are superb and accommodating hosts. They have gone out of their way twice now to accommodate my crazy schedule. The place is beautiful and the service is great. I have the Arctic Mood room and the terrace hot tub with the privacy drapes is much, much nicer than the small private hot tub assigned to the Heritage room. Don't get me wrong, that one is perfect for a private couple retreat, but the big tub, well it’s a CalSpa and the aqua-therapy jets are just what my tired body needs at the end of a long business day. The privacy drapes make it just as special as the other. The king bed in the Arctic Mood room is a TermperPedic and is awesomely comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding. I have now ordered just about half of the choices available and haven’t been disappointed yet. I have been honored to be asked up to dinner one night this week as their guest--I think they felt sorry for me being so far away from home--and boy, can this guy cook! I travel for business roughly four to six months a year and this is by far the best small B&B I have ever stayed in for service, quality of rooms, and outstanding meals. The homemade gourmet pineapple and walnut muffins are very tasty, and yes, I’ve actually seen them made right here—smile. The views are truly outstanding. I’ll be back.

  • Liked — The accommodating hosts and quality of the room.
  • Disliked — Everything is well thought out and convenient. They've got everything I need.

Our experiance with the Host at the Alaskan Leopard began before our stay. Traveling from Texas to Alaska in winter required information on clothing, auto type, weather patterns etc. They were most helpful with all our questions and were able to guide us thru any special request we had.

We arrived in Anchorage after midnight and used the written directions provided to us by Tom and Bobbie to make our way to the B&B with great ease. Navigating a strange city after dark without getting lost! Late arrival check in was a breeze and we were instantly pleased with our choice of B & B's. Many places seen on websites are not as beautiful as depicted. This place was better than the photo's showed. The common room for the guest had been set for our arrival along with a menu request for our breakfast the following morning.

We met Tom and Bobbie for the first time at breakfast. The menu page shown on the website cannot tell how wonderful the breakfast is. Tastebuds are the only thing can let you know these folks know their way around the kitchen. The food was prepared to perfection, large portions and was ready exactly when we had asked for it. That's right you select what you want for breakfast and when to eat it.

One of my favorite movies is The Princess Bride. Throughout the film the hero proves his love by simply saying "AS YOU WiSH"
Our stay with Tom and Bobbie at the Leopard was exactly that way. Everthing we could ask for was given.

These are well traveled, educated and friendly folks that make you feel at home. I have visited family and friends and not felt as welcome as I did at the Alaskan Leopard. Privacy and interaction
with the host are determined by you. You can visit with them like you are with old friends. They will welcome you into their home and into the state in grand fashion. You will leave feeling like a Princess. As you wish will be your experiance at this B & B.

We are saving up for a return trip and we will be staying at the Alaskan Leopard.

  • Liked — The breakfast that lasted all day
  • Disliked — beverage counter in guest common room has no water hook up

My husband and I stayed in the Heritage Room on New Year's Eve. We booked the lite special which made it a steal for a room with a private entrance and 2 person hot tub! Our overall experience was super and I look forward to staying there again.

PROS:
- Private entrance and 2 person hot tub
- DVD/VHS library and satelite TV (I only found basic channels)
- King sized bed
- Cozy comforter
- Reheatable hash brown quiche was good, quick, filling, and warm

CONS:
- Costco muffins. I read this in a previous review to which the owners replied that they are not Costco muffins and are gourmet muffins or a choice for a homemade danish. IT WAS A COSTCO MUFFIN (I used to work for an establishment that serves Costco muffins and there is no mistaking it) and there was not an option to have a homemade danish.

SUGGESTIONS:
1) For all the documentation provided more on the paid for TV channels would be good (There were hundreds of channels and no way to differentiate between the ones you could view and not)
2) Identify how to turn the hot tub on since it was not on at 11am when the documentation said it would turn on at 10am. It was sort of warm but not like the night soak.
3) Provide plush robes for guests since a main attraction is the hot tub.

  • Liked — Private hot tub and public hot tub (they have 2)
  • Disliked — Costco muffins aren't good
