“An ideal downtown stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Easy to find, the Phyllis cafe is ideal for a quick lunch between to visits downtown. The terrace gives a good opportunity to enjoy the meal outside if the weather is sunny.
We did love the hallibut Cesar salad. All fish-eaters will appreciate the big crab legs at a reasonable price and all kind of sea-food.

“Awesome food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

This was our first visit and will not be our last. The service was awesome and food was great!!! My husband even made the statement that he doesnt believe we have ever went to a restaurant where we had our food as quick as we did at this resturant. We had all you can eat crab legs and our plates were filled the entire visit.

“Typical seafood restaurant in Alaska”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

There is a specific formula for tourist seafood restaurants in Alaska and this place fit right in. The menus are almost always the same and the prices are inflated. Typical offerings are salmon, halibut and King crab legs. You will pay about $36 for the salmon and halibut and $50 for the King crab legs. This generally includes a very small veggie serving and choice of fries, steamed potatoes or rice. Every thing else is extra.

“Average food and atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

One of the ladies in the Anchorage Visitor Center said this was a great place for seafood. The atmosphere was one that seemed like you were at the beach - outdoor chairs with a wooden deck and a cover. It wasn't bad - but not what we expected. I ordered King Crab Legs with drawn butter and chowder. My chowder was luke-warm, and the butter was cold - had to send both back. The food was just OK for the price. You'd be better off going to Glacier Brewhouse for the same price.

“Nothing exciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

We went for lunch while in town. The chowder tasted like it was from a can with some fish thrown in. Fish and chips were hot and fresh, but nothing too exciting. The place was clean and the service friendly, but nothing fancy.
