“Excellent Food and Very Friendly Service”

Good variety on the menu. Our choices were well prepared and excellent. The service was excellent and the server gave us valuable guidance in planning our Alaska adventure.

“Everyone That Raves About Sacks Is Right”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Sacks was recommended to us by family who live in Anchorage, by friends who've visited Anchorage on a cruise, and caught our eye even before those recommendations just from reading reviews and lists of best restaurants in Anchorage. Everyone is right - this is a special place and if you like a menu with interesting items you've never seen anywhere before, interesting twists on local cuisine and a spot that lives up to the hype and more don't miss Sacks if you're in Anchorage. We ate lunch there while in town and had cream of jalapeno soup, chili, reindeer sausage, scallop and crab cakes and the Russian cream for dessert - washed down with a local beer and a latte. The warm and friendly atmosphere and the casual yet sophisticated - and bright - decor made our lunch even more special. It was a great way to relax during a day of sightseeing in and around Anchorage. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to move to a city, envisioning Friday night dinners and Sunday afternoons again and again at 'your spot'. Don't miss it!

“Excellent Food, Service and Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

We came here for lunch and were seated right away.

Our waitress was prompt and very friendly.

We ordered the fish tacos and the turkey sandwich, both were very flavorful and yummy.

The dessert however was to die for, we ordered the Russian creamed which was extremely delicious and decadent.

I most definitely recommend it and I personally will go back on my next trip to Anchorage.

Food is wonderful, staff is terrific. Best to have a reservation...but we got lucky once & there are tables in the bar.

“Superior food at superior prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We had no reservations on a busy night, so they welcomed the four of us at the bar. It was actually interesting and fun to see the hustle and bustle of the friendly staff up close as we ate. The tomato soup and crab cake appetizers were the best we'd ever had. The king crab, halibut and duck mains were superb as well. Taste, presentation, timeliness, quantity - all high marks, though next time I will consider leaving the kids at home due to the hefty cost of the fine food.
