“Nice enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

As we stayed one night at the Marriott downtown after visiting Denali, we opted for an inlet view room. It was nothing spectacular - when I return, I'll go for the mountain view on the other side (there are mountains on that side, but I'd still opt for the other).

“Absolutely beautiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

I saw a review on this area where she said, "Nothing can ever prepare you for this." That's so true; no matter how good you think it will be, you simply can't imagine how beautiful it really is. I took about 500 photos of this area, but I could have taken a lot more.

“Incredible Views!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Breathtaking! The beautiful mirror like water with snow capped mountains in the background. So peaceful to just sit on a bench and enjoy the view. There is a jogging/walking trail also.

“Sensational vistas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

For the first half hour that you drive south from Anchorage you will see wonderful views of the mountains set against the Cook inlet. Try to go when there is snow because that makes it look all the better.

“tidal bores and beluga whales”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

the ever changing nature of the inlet with its huge and very forceful tidal flows, slack times find glaciers reflected in the mirrored waters, low tides reveal miles of tidal flats with huge clams, the luckiest will see a pod of snow white beluga whales cavorting
