My son & I took this rafting trip & had a blast. It could if been better if the 3 women on board with us had stuck to NOT coming! One fell overboard and saving her made us crash into the rocks. Our guide, Scotty, was awesome, experienced and funny. Keep in mind, there is age limits for these trips so don't plan to bring a young child or even a teen who is not a good swimmer!
If plan plan to do this next spring (their season is over for this year), plan to wear LAYERS of clothing, including thermals. They supply the dry suit, helmet and shoes. Your clothes stay dry. You have to pass a "swim test", which personally, I didn't think much of. The water was @ 3-4 feet and they wanted me to "swim" from point "A" to point "B" pretty difficult to do for a tall person!
There is a hot tub you can bring your swimsuit in get into after the rafting - we didn't bother with it but it's option -
You need to pay close attention to what they tell you, with rowing & especially if you fall in!! We did not do the 3 canyon - which is $50 more - just due to our time constraints but the 6 mile 2 canyon was scenic, fun and COLD!!!
