While staying at the hotel in which this restaurant is located, I had breakfast and three dinners at Juno. Breakfast was ok - not much one can do to mess up eggs, bacon and toast. Dinner, though, was another matter. The first time I ate here, I ordered the planked salmon. OMG it was horrible. Not only was the salmon overcooked but it had a very very strong flavor of cedar. And the "plank" on which the salmon was glued - er - cooked was the size of a small cedar roof shingle. I've had planked salmon before and it definitely did not taste like what I encountered in Juno. Their soup was OK except that it was a little on the salty side. Because I was with a group and had no choice, we ate dinner there again the following night, and I decided to order only appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were OK, but the crab cakes were extremely salty and I could not finish eating them. They would be better off just cooking without salt and then letting the guest use salt to taste. The last night I ate dinner there, the food actually turned out pretty tasty. I ate their halibut special and everything was cooked nicely and not salty. I also ordered their bread pudding for dessert, and it was not too bad either - not the best, but not too bad for hotel fare. All in all, breakfast was OK but I would NOT eat dinner there unless I had no place else to go.
