“Great place considering its in an odd strip mall!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

Went on a recommendation from my local. It was a spot on description in that she said the food was amazing but the Decor is a little funky. We added it to our "we will come back to this place" list. Calamari was a wonderful start to the meal but my egg plant stuffed Parmesan was incredible.

“The Best Italian Food Restaurant in Anchorage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

We have the shrimp scampi Alfredo and seven cheese rigatoni. Both dishes were excellent. The best Italian restaurant in Anchorage by leaps and bounds. We have lived in Anchorage nearly 10 years and had never tried Villa Nova. We won't make it 10 years for the next trip.

“Villa Nova is PRIMO!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Villa Nova served the best Vitello Marsala I've ever had and I've had it from New York to California! My wife had the pasta with mushrooms... also fantasic. Great owners. Excellent wine list. We were so glad to find this jewel of Alaska! Marvelous. Seek it out and enjoy!!!

“Date night awesomeness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

My wonderful husband took me to this restaurant for dinner on our anniversary. It was wonderful! The meal was beautifully presented. We had the Osso Bucco and it was delicious. The atmosphere was a bit cluttered with many knick knacks and paintings. Heavily worded signs about the patrons needing to be patient waiting for food and service. That was a bit disconcerting. But overall the meal was great.

“Intimate Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Villa Nova is in a small shopping strip, that the area looks run down,
But enter Villa Nova and it is like you have entered someone's home,
Personal service outstanding, orders are cooked after you order so quick, been sitting around food here! Worth the wait to get Fresh homemade Italian food and fabulous deserts.
Atmosphere was delightful, we could actually talk to each other, unlike other places.
The chef pops his head to and makes quick visits to assure everyone is pleased.
The music played by a gentleman in a corner was soft and beautiful.
The expense of our meal was worth every penny, completely satisfied.
Thank you to our chef, staff, hostess and waitress. Everyone smiling
