Stayed here the night before our cruise, and enjoyed a fabulously comfortable bed and very quiet, comfortable room. It sounds like a worn-out cliche, but the staff truly went out of its way to please us ... going so far as to ask how our stay was as we walked passed the front desk.

The breakfast was plentiful and very fresh, and we appreciated the free local and national newspapers available on the lobby rack.

About the only drawback is that the hotel is a bit far from downtown, but the staff overcomes this by offering a free shuttle service to most locations. All you need to do is ask at the front desk 20-30 minutes before you want to leave, and be sure to tip the friendly and informative drivers.

Didn't take a dip in the indoor pool – ran out of time – but it looked clean and inviting.

An outstanding night of lodging. I regret that I don't go to Anchorage often, as this would be a place that despite its "chain" status is a hotel that anyone would look forward to visiting.

We loved our stay here. Spent two nights before our cruise out of Whittier. We chose it because it had breakfast available very early in the morning. When we booked it, we had hoped it would be closer to town, but it fit our needs. Much to our surprise, the hotel has a shuttle... not just for airport pick-up but for anywhere you need to go in a 20 (?) mile radius. Call the front desk, tell them you need a ride downtown, they call the shuttle and tell you how long it will be. We never waited more than 10 minutes for any pickup from or to the hotel. The best part was that they took you to exactly where you needed to go, rather than drop you of in the middle of town and point you in the right direction. We loved the service, the drivers were entertaining and very helpful. I can wait to get back to Anchorage to stay here again.

Very friendly helpful staff were outstanding. Excellent facilities plus large choice for included breakfast. Restaurant short walk from hotel. Free transport to airport and city centre. Very comfortable bed in well appointed room. It was a bit pricey but worth the extra comfort and service.

Booked at Homewood Suites on an awards trip months ago. When we arrived at Homewood we were informed they were overbooked and had to move us to Hampton Inn. Definately a step below the Homewood but the Hampton served us well for a night and as a Anchorage base. Office staff at Hampton was very nice and helpful. We told her about early checkout to catch Railroad down to Seward and she made sure we knew about Breakfast bags for us to take. Great to have for kids on early train ride and for snacks along the way. Bed was comfortable and room offered free internet.
Hilton hotels are all on free bus system (airport, downtown areas) which was great, no need for a car and we got to explore Anchorage prior to our cruise.
Fine choice if you can get a room for a good price.
