I recently stayed a week at the Inlet Tower hotel and suites. The hotel itself was nice but I have never seen such an unorganized hotel. We had booked a king suite (separate bedroom) and paid extra for this type of room. When we arrived, we were told none were available and assigned us a regular room. I was told that they hold your reservation, but not the type of room you requested. That is completely ridiculous, we had a very specific reason for needed a separate room with a pull out couch. It took 2 days to finally get the type of room we had reserved and they did not adjust the bill until I complained. Though we spoke to several front desk people, no one would help or follow up. The only person that was helpful was the front desk manager, Joi Ross, but you had to be lucky to catch her on duty. She works mornings and when I had room issues, I had to deal with her less than friendly staff. It was hit or miss if housekeeping cleaned your room. Several days we had to call to have our room cleaned. Also, there are no temperature controls in the room so if you're too hot or cold, you are out of luck. It seemed that no one actually worked the front desk regularly. If you had a question, the response you got was "I don't normally work the front desk", or, "I'm just the driver", or "I'm just helping out". It was really odd. I heard several people complaining over the week that they went in their room and it was already occupied. Seems they hand out room keys and do not update the computer. Overall the hotel was nice but they really lack customer service.
