“What a blast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

On the day of our tour, it was raining and cold. However, we dressed properly so this did not cause a problem.
Because of the weather, we were the only couple on the tour, so we effectively had a private tour.
The guide was excellent, had good knowledge of the history and area, but didn't swamp us with unnecessary detail (unless we asked).
The other staff were exceptionally friendly, and loaned us some gloves to keep our hands warm.
This is a great way to get an overview of the sights in Anchorage, and cover a lot of ground quickly. Then, you can decide if there are any areas that you want to explore further on your own.
I'm a big fan of segway tours wherever we go, and SegTours provided an excellent experience.

“Easy and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Segways just look like fun - and they are! SegTours does a good job of training newbies and then taking an almost two hour tour of your choice. First, sign some forms regarding liability and responsibility and then watch a short video that explains Segway operation. You get a clean helmet that fits and go outside to practice. Our guide Mike was an excellent trainer and decided we were ready to go after about ten minutes of forward, backward, right, left, circles and stopping. Using sidewalks we went a few places in downtown and then had a refreshing trip on the Ship Creek walkway. My sister, 50s, and me, 60s, had a great time and look forward to another chance to Segway.

“Excellent Highlight Tour of Anchorage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

We've done the Golden Gate Segway tour but this was even better. What a great way to get around downtown Anchorage, learn a bit about the city's history and identify potential restaurants/watering holes for socializing. Not only informative, but if you haven't ridden a Segway, they're easy to use, maneuverable and people that see you on them think it's really cool. There were four of us on the tour and James was our tour guide. We started off cruising around downtown and were introduced to the museums, a couple of really good places to eat (F Street Station and Glacier Brewhouse - both excellent BTW). James was good enough to take some pictures of us and since we had ridden Segways before, were off "turtle" mode. We toured down along the Cook Inlet and out towards Earthquake Park. We cruised down along Ship Creek, stopped at the train station and at the Ulu Factory for a break before heading back to our starting point. The 2+ hours went by too quickly and we all felt the tour was one of the best times we had on our Alaskan vacation.
