“Always a joy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We only live a few miles away, we are in the service industry, and this is where we chose to take our mini vacation every Christmas season. The suites are comfortable, with modern amenities (a shower to die for), and old world charm and service that makes you wish you could just stay forever. An open snack and wine bar in the evening and an excellent breakfast in the morning make for a truly quality getaway.

“Perfect B&B for those who are leery of B&Bs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

Though I travel frequently I am reluctant to stay at B&Bs for three reasons I expect are common. First, I do not always want to converse with lodge proprietors and fellow guests (despite the fact that I have many close friends I met while traveling.)Second, I don't always want to get dressed early in the morning to have breakfast with others. Third, occasionally the furnishings of B&Bs are often more precious than practical. I recently stayed at Chelsea Station which allayed all my concerns. Check in was all arranged in advance so your room key is waiting in an envelope on the front door upon arrival. The delicious breakfast can be brought to one's room. The large suites are not only beautiful but practical as well. The management person we briefly conversed with was very helpful and friendly. The one and a half bathrooms per suite were a real luxury. Whether you are a big fan of B&Bs or have been leery of trying one I highly recommend Chelsea Station.

“Wonderful hotel alternative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

This is a lovely 1920s building that has been converted into four suites--all with living room, dining room, kitchen (sans stove), bedroom, and bath. The rooms have been furnished with style and taste, and furniture is in great condition and comfortable. Breakfast is substantial and delicious and always includes a hot entree. You can even have it delivered to your room at the time you specify. There is a wonderful variety of complimentary snacks and beverages (including wine and beer!) available at any time. The innkeepers are exceptionally customer service focused. And it is not overpriced! For us, this was a rare find.

“Very pleasant and beats staying in a hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Huge suites in a quiet location. Suites will comfortably accommodate four. Nice attention to details and amenities. Very pleasant staff. Clean throughout. Breakfasts are nice and there are snacks available. Why stay in a hotel? It is not far to downtown attractions and a short walk to the zoo entrance. Their peak season is, of course in early summer. Rates will be much higher.

Room Tip: Try the suites

“If you're going to Seattle, you MUST stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We had two wonderful nights at the Chelsea and are already planning on going back again next year, if not before. This place is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and the breakfasts homemade and delicious. The location is very convenient, we walked to the zoo and just hopped on 99/Aurora to easily get downtown. The most difficult part of our visit was getting motivated to to somewhere because it was so tempting to just stay at the beautiful Inn for long stretches at a time.

Room Tip: I agree that the south side rooms are more quiet.
