“Definitely Check It Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Had their most popular dish, the pulled pork (can't remember specific name), but it was excellent. Melt in your mouth status.
However, we had the variety appetizer and only one of them was worth it, I would not order any of them again.
Atmosphere was good, busy, but not super loud. Be sure to have patience if you're looking for a spot outside in the summer.

“Best Mohito in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

If you are looking for something a little different then you should try out La Isla. Great Puerto Rican faire and a killer mohito. All with fast service and really reasonable prices. And if you hit them during happy hour its cheaper than making your own mohito at home.

“pretty authentic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

I went on a first date there and the atmosphere wasn't too bad, inside and outside dining. They offered unique cocktails, we ordered tamarindo mojitos, pretty good if you like mojitos, as an appetizers we ordered the alcapurrias, delicious. As my main entree I ordered the roasted pork (pernil), it was outstanding, the rice and beans were okay though. The restaurant isn't a fancy smancy swanky type place, but it's perfect for a casual date, a lunch, or just getting together.
