This perfectly renovated historical (1914) hotel was immaculate, the room was very comfortable, the hotel staff were courteous and knowledgeable, and the location was less than a block from the waterfront (ferries Pier 50) and only two blocks from the light rail station (fare to SeaTac only $2.75). Step back to 1914 as you are greeted by the historic ambiance of the rich, dark wood, the welcoming fireplace and sitting area, the original grand staircase and period furnishings on the floor landings. Our quiet room was beautifully decorated with heavy, brocade draperies, a tapestry highback sitting chair, and a loveseat/setee besides two very comfortable beds, a flat screen TV, a Keurig coffeemaker, Paul Newman coffee products, a writing desk and chair, plush bathroom towels, and Sister Sky toiletries. The expanded continental breakfast offered an array of cold and hot cereal, fresh fruit, hot bacon/egg/cheese wrap, juices, hot beverages, fresh Belgian waffles, pastries, muffins, and bagels (and an actual bagel slicer!). I highly recommend a room with a balcony to step out and experience the ambiance of the area! Seattle's transportation system is convenient and the taxis are very reasonable. Otherwise, parking is hard to find and expensive. I plan to make more trips to Seattle now that I will have a great place to stay and convenient transportation.

We stayed at this nice hotel recently for 3 nights. It is in a great location; walking distance to the football stadium (we were there for a football game), to shops and restaurants plus the pier and Pike's Market. We took the light rail from the airport to get to this hotel (get off at the Pioneer Square stop and walk about 2 blocks to the hotel...if you have lots of luggage, it may not be so easy). The customer service at this hotel was excellent - all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. If you are not used to 'city noise', you might not like this location as it can be a little noisy on the streets surrounding the hotel but it calms down overnight. We weren't bothered by the noise - had a good night's sleep every night. The morning breakfast was good - nothing fancy but a good selection. We had a very pleasant stay here. We will stay there again on our next trip to Seattle.

Our train got us to Seattle in the morning and the hotel, convenient to the station, had our room ready for us. Beautiful room with great furnishings. Cookies and milk were delivered to the room just after check-in and later they checked to see if we needed towels. Great staff, great place!
