Great place. Has real character, not just another cookie-cutter place to sleep. I was upgraded to the balcony level, which made it even nicer. Aside from the high parking cost, my room rate was very reasonable (less than a lot of Hilton Garden Inns I've stayed in), and I hope to be able to return there soon.

The four days that I stayed at this hotel were an absolute nightmare. Hilton had listed this hotel on their website as the "Financial" District. It was Pioneer Square. When I came up from the Sound Transit, there were suspicious looking people all over the streets. I hurried and walked the block to the hotel. When arriving, the desk clerk was extremely rude. I had made my reservation with the "State Government" rate. She informed me that unless I had a Federal ID, the rate would not be honored. I informed her that I made the reservation under a "State Government rate" and had utilized the same rate at another Hilton property the three previous nights. I informed her that due to the area this hotel was in, I could assure her I would not be booking at this hotel ever again. She continued to be rude throughout my check-in. I was placed in a room on the same level, overlooking the street. The next four days/nights I had to endure the bus passing every few minutes all hours of the day/night. Historic is another word for scary. I felt like I was in a Scooby Doo comic with the eyes on the wall watching me! I was also informed there would be a refrigerator in my room (needed to refrigerate medications), which I failed to find until the day of checkout because if was hidden inside a bureau of drawers. Being vegetarian and not wanting to travel in the area at night, I was disappointed to find that room service offered any vegetarian options on their menu. I can say that the room attendant provided excellent service. I have rarely tipped the staff for the duties done, but did leave a tip for the excellent job that these staff members did with the rooms. They were constantly replenishing my bathroom amenities and keeping my room in amazing shape.
I would not book at this hotel again. Being a solo traveler, it was not safe. When I told my associates were I was staying, they apologized and told me not to go out after dark. I could see why when I arrived at the hotel. I felt as though every night I was trapped at the hotel and could not enjoy the wonderful sights that Seattle has to offer. I've been staying at Hilton properties for nearly 10 years and I'm disappointed by the treatment of the check in clerk. I won't be returning to this property due to location and appearance, but her attitude could have turned me off from the Hilton family. I travel to Seattle on a bi-monthly basis and it's revenue that Hilton could have missed out on due to poor customer service.

This hotel has a distinguished history. The location is very convenient, near light-rail, the financial district and Pioneer Square. The hotel has a welcoming lobby with a roaring fireplace. Below is a great restaurant with fabulous food. My room was not large, but it had all I needed.

This hotel has the feel of a time gone past. The service is fantastic and some of the best hotel service we have had. The room is comfortable and quiet, expect for the street noise. One elevator was out of service the entire three days we were there and that was inconvenient. Also if you enter on the side street where the valet is supposed to be there is a flight of stairs that is hard with luggage. We could not enter on the Third Street side since we arrived late. The lobby is on the second floor. The room had an umbrella for our use which was great too because it rained nonstop. Definitely worth a return visit.
