We loved the 11th Avenue Inn! We stayed for 6 nights and were based in one
of the rooms on the top floor with an ensuite bathroom. Though
the room was small it was welcoming and comfortable. The bathroom had a fantastic shower and a bath with whirlpool which was very reviving after a long day trudging about the streets of seattle!
I slept really well, although my partner was bothered by some street noise on the weekends when people were out and about partying. Internally there was no noise from our neighbours - so the place was very peaceful and quiet - which is a big thumbs up for me.
They've really put a lot of thought into this place, there's always nibbles and snacks to help yourself to in the communal areas of the house, and it's fantastic that there's two computers that you can use to check things out on the internet. You could also make free local calls which is brill when if you need to make reservations etc. They also had a video library to helo yourself to (the rooms have a tv/video combi) - I really liked this and we watched Kurt and Courtney - essential viewing if in Seattle!
The breakfasts were quite a big deal here. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of sitting at a big table and making conversation with other guests, mainly because I'm not much of a morning person! But actually it was quite a nice start to the day to swap tips and meet new people. The food was great, if a bit unusual. Sometimes we just craved eggs and bacon or even just some toast, thought the food was great and clearly a lot of thought went into it, I'm not a huge fan of pesto in the morning! Unfortunately my partner wasn't too keen on the breakfasts as a result which was ashame. But everyone else loved it!
All in all a great stay, 11th Avenue is in a fantastic neighbourhood and I can't fault the staff for their efficiency and attention to detail.
If I come back to Seattle I'd be very tempted to come here again.
