“Tourist trap”

A joke. You pay $2.25 for a 5 minute train to the Seattle center from downtown. Cash only, which is annoying. Tourist trap.

“stress free ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

The monorail was built for the 1962 world's fair. It is a quick efficient way of going from downtown to uptown where the Chilhully exhibit and the opera are in additional to the overhyped Space Needle. It does stop running at 11PM so if you go to a long opera, you may have to cab it back. Ask for senior discount if you qualify

“Quick Route to Main Attractions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

Took the monorail from central downtown to EMP Museum/Sky City, couldn't have asked for a better ride. Smooth run, barely enough time to snap a pic and post to social. Read ahead so I brought cash for a ticket and followed the signs to the platform off 5th Ave. Clean, spacious car, seemed plenty safe for a daytime solo trip. Before you go, know that it's a short ride, but a big part of Seattle history!

“Fun "Gotta-do"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

It's a quick little monorail trip from Westlake Center in downtown Seattle to Seattle Center but a cheap thrill to save steps and enjoy a little of Seattle's history. Seattle Center offers so many different things to do, from the Chihuly Glass & Garden to Pacific Science Center, the Space Needle, etc, etc, etc! You travel right through a short section of the EMP (Experience Music Project). on the monorail.
