“Gorgeous even in winter!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

We went here for a tour offered by the Feet First organization. Mary was a fabulous tour guide and the garden is absolutely beautiful! Even though it was cold and raining, the way the raindrops glistened off of the trees was amazing.

“Great in spring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

We loved the rhododendron blossoms in the spring. April is the perfect month to visit Kubota Garden. It is a little difficult to find and you may be frustrated if you don't have a navigation device in your car. This is a free Japanese-style garden in south Seattle.

“Fall color in Seattle? It can happen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

There are many gardens to enjoy in Seattle and surrounding suburbs. I would not discourage anyone from visiting the arboretum, the Bellevue Botanical Garden, or any of the natural parks. But the latter can tend to be loaded with alders which have lousy fall color. In the Seattle area, fall color comes mostly from maples, especially Japanese maples and Vine maples. They still have elms here, with their gorgeous gold color, as well as birches and numerous small trees/shrubs with colorful leaves and berries. Kubota on a sunny day is lovely.
