I've been to the neighboring Malaysia several times with my wife and the food reminds me of the food there and my mother inlaw's awesome cooking. We ate family style with my wife's cousin while on vacation in Seattle. When my cousin in law mentioned Indonesian food my wife said, "YES!!M" They recently moved due to constrution so we were a bit frusterated when we could not find it right away. But the food was worth all of the chaos. We had the sate ayam, rendang sapi, kang kung cah terasi, bakmi goreng jawa, bihun goreng indonesi and the es cendol. My personal favorites were the sate and the bihun dishes. I personally did not like the cendol, but my wife loved it... so I guess I cannot be a fan of everything south east Asia.
