“The food is good, but the quality seems to be going down hill.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

I have been eating here since it was converted from a McDonalds. It started out really good, with good beef and chicken Teriyaki and then it sems like the quality started to decline. There are a lot of hard cartiledge in the chicken and the beef is really full of fat. The tast is good however.

“Very good food, friendly service: a fine meal, worth repeating.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

We have passed this location for a long time before I finally tried it. Reading the other two positive reviews on Trip Advisor was the impetus. I was not disappointed. And the fact that most of the seats were taken was good indication of its value.

The waitress and the apparent owner were very personable, though the English language is not their strong point. That's alright, though, because the food was delicious, well-presented, and of large proportions. It's good that the doggy box tradition is common in this country. The price was right. I do have a complaint: there are just too many choices! The menu encourages mixing and matching -- yet, easier said than done. Lucky there are set menus.

I'm very sorry now that we did not patronize this restaurant sooner. I guess it is a case of "do not judge a book by its cover"! The entire place may be small, but the interior is comfortable, clean and tidy. This will now be a strong contender for my favorite Japanese eatery. It has been Obasan, just a block away... but I feel the more friendly service here makes a difference.

“Pan-Asian Food at Super Prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2012

They serve Japanese, Korean and Chinese food for the hungry (and cheap like me) crowd. The menu has about 60 different items including a Japanese bento box with sushi, tempura shrimp, a cabbage slaw, and an entree choice. I had the beef teriyaki; my wife, the chicken the first visit, for less than $11.. Over the period of a week, we went there for lunch and dinner three times. The bul-go-ki was excellent, the California roll sushi had real crab, not crab stick (Yum!), the beef and broccoli was good. The chicken with asparagus could have had more asparagus rather than other vegetables, but the flavor was fine. The place is not into fancy: the decor, if you could call it that, is a mixture of World Market souvenirs. But the place is clean, the portions are very large, and the guy at the order desk (owner) is very helpful and pleasant. Can't beat it for the prices.

“Quick good chow in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2011

My partner and I enjoyed this place twice in a week for lunch. The food came out hot and "yummy." I had chicken teriyaki, she had vegetable stir fry. Both good. If you aren't starving, you may wish to get the smaller portion.

Please note that you must ask (and pay extra) for brown rice, otherwise you get white.

Oddly enough, both days at lunch they had a big screen TV on with sports (hockey & NBA). Just seemed odd for an Asian place....

Also, they have parking shared with a nearby pharmacy and excellent grocery store.
