“Good Italian and freshly prepared”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

After a long day walking around town, we stopped by Pike Place and this restaurant is at the entrance. Looks very inviting with beautiful entrance. We decided to order to go to ear at our hotel. The server graciously told us it would be 15 min to prepare our order and discourage us from ordering the calamari appetizer due to difficulty in packing. The linguini di mare is excellent with lots of seafood.

“Terrific meal at il Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Our hotel concierge suggested Il Bistro, we had seen it earlier while walking around Pike Street Market and our first impression was that it was likely to be "touristy" given its location but we really loved this place. It's a very romantic dinning room and the food and service were first rate. A delightful surprise.

“What a wonderful surprise near the market!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

The atmosphere was charming and cozy. Our server was very helpful with making suggestions. The food was exceedingly fresh. The bruschetta was the best and the freshest that we have ever tasted. We truly enjoyed the salmon dinner. Best of all, the manager was from Michigan- our home state!

“Host was so rude we left!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

After a long day of showing my visiting family the Seattle sights, I (a local), convinced them to go to Il Bistro for dinner. We were at Pike Place and starving! We went in the restaurant and were relieved to see they were not busy at all, as we did not have a reservation. We told the host there were seven of us. While he was making arrangements to get a table set up for us, a couple of family members went outside to look at the menu on the window. When he returned to the host station, he noticed them outside and asked me quite curtly if we were sure we wanted a table. I explained that they wanted to see the menu. At that point, he told me that he needed to know if we would be staying because "setting up a table is QUITE an ordeal!!!" In spite of our starvation, I told him that if it were such an ordeal to serve a party of seven we'd take our business to where it'd be appreciated. And we did. We had a fabulous meal elsewhere with great service, start to finish.
