Description: Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways. Situated in Post Alley above the historic Pike Place Market, Kells is a fine way to round up a day's sightseeing or browsing at the market. The pub is always alive with folks cooling off after a day's work. The restaurant will be sure to remind you of the Old Country with its warm, cozy atmosphere and traditional surroundings. There's also a patio outside that's a great place to feel the breeze from the Sound and the buzz of the marketplace. We also have a grand celebration every St. Patrick's Day. Kells proudly serves Seattle's largest Single Malt Scotch collection.

“Tasty, a bit away from the Market crowd”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Came here for lunch after wandering through the Market through the morning. It was nice to get away from the hordes...located in Post Alley, Kells is slightly off the mainstream path. While that kept foot traffic down and you weren't running into people to get there, it doesn't hurt business as there was a decent lunch crowd.

It was seat yourself, and we were attended to promptly. A few servers were working; looking around, ours and the others were all attentive and knowledgeable.

A great pour of Guiness (both of them!). I had the corned beef sandwich, the wife had a seafood pasty. Both came with a cup of potato soup. Everything was excellent. Portions were not overwhelming either...actually lunch-sized!

Would love to come here for dinner...or just an evening of drinks...the next time we're in town!

“Hidden gem.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

A quick stroll from the famous Pike Place Market, down an alley and only noticeable by the giant Irish flag hanging over the door, you will find Kells.
A lovely little pub that we popped in for a quick pint or three after a lengthy day of touring the city. Sadly we didn't try the food, although I have heard great things.
A nice, quiet place to sit and relax without huge throngs of tourists.

“great atmosphere, friendly bartenders, skip the Pink Door and come here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

My husband and I had walked the market until we just couldn't and wanted a beer and a place to sit, we found the perfect spot. A variety of local characters at the bar and the cool bartender made this an unforgettable experience. We stayed 4 hours.

“Good break from Pike Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We were recommended thus Irish food close to the Pike's Place Market. Excellent Corn Beef and Cabbage but the Shepherd's Pie a little bland. The service is slow around lunch time.
