“Quirky but delicious menu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Not your typical menu! I ate things I would have never ordered
or have ever seen on a menu! We were able to have a complete
vegetarian meal very easily. They have choices to cover everyones palate. Would have liked to see more local red wines served by the glass. A great experience!

“Looking for a bar with a back story? This is it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014 via mobile

This place was a pure conundrum to us. We couldn't decide whether the place was originally a bar with new elements or a restored hotel with a new bar added aNd we were all wrong! If you have any interest whatsoever in design and architecture this place is a must see! A design project with a lot of beautiful reclaimed elements from around the world all seamlessly reunited! And the old fashioned well thought out cocktails matched the environs! Cool experience!

“Casual elegance!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

It's hard not feel the wonderful relaxing energy of this restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful unpretentious yet unique and delicious food. I'm always fussy about my comfort in a restaurant; table height, the comfort level of seating, lighting, background noise; these come before the quality of the food served. This place has it all for me. Wonderful brunch menu, and for dinner time just enjoy a glass of wine with their specialty mix plates of cold cuts & cheese. Or simply go the classic way with their selective entrees. They also have an extensive collection and very knowledgable bar service. Bar has comfortable stools that will entice you to linger on for hours.

“Enjoyed the atmosphere and open air view off the beaten path”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

Upon recommendation from a server we had in downtown Seattle, we decided to take a cab to this Ballard neighborhood for dinner. There were several moderately upscale places on this street and we picked this based on menu, friendliness of greeter and some open air view. Our server was a little flighty but overall I felt the quality of the food was really good. Had the pizza of the night and it was delish. Enjoyed the Rose wine flight. Had a great fresh salad. I would go back here again if in the neighborhood.

“Foodie delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Visiting from Houston, friends brought us here. We ordered three entrees and 4 or 5 appetizers and salads. Loved it. I especially enjoyed the octopus and would have ordered another plate of it so I didn't have to share, but we asked them to bring the food out as it was ready and there really was a steady stream of deliciousness coming our way. Meatballs were good, if a bit salty, escarole salad made for an interesting and lighter update to a caesar salad, cauliflower is huge, zucchini was meh. Considering how much food we had, and the quality, the bill was much less than I expected.

I liked the atmosphere. Indoor seating but with the doors and windows thrown open. I like the neighborhood it's in too. We walked there and there was an interesting but not too hectic flow of pedestrian traffic.
