We were in Seattle on our way to an Alaskan cruise and down the street from our hotel was a restaurant that looked intriguing! Schuckers! so we decided to have dinner - the restaurant has two entrances, one from the street and the other through the hotel. since we were not staying in the hotel we entered through the street entrance and was taken somewhat off balance. There was no host at the door, instead a waiter took us to the back of the restaurant, which was the hotel entrance, there the host had took our name (only one other table was taken at the time) we were then taken to a table by the same waiter who let us in! it was just not a welcoming way of doing business. our table was pleasant, our waiter was pleasant. he took our drink order, brought bread which was delicious and then took our order. I had the scallops which were absolutely wonderful, my husband had a chicken dish which was good. the service over all was very professional and the décor was definitely classic first rate hotel! we noticed throughout our dinner the folks that came in through the street did not seem as welcome as the hotel patrons but other than that we enjoyed our meal. there was another couple there who were on their second visit because they enjoyed it so much the night before......we enjoyed it but it would not be a choice to revisit. if you like seafood and nicely appointed restaurants I would say try it for dinner!
