“Great Fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We came to Seattle to get great fish and that's exactly what you get. It's a close second behind Purple in terms of best dinner spot (out of the many we tried).

“Wonderful Dinner, Quaint atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Professional and friendly staff, knowledgeable bartender, limited wine list. Old, wood décor. Bread delicious, king salmon fabulous and very fresh but potato side was cold. Mac and cheese tasted great but only two small pieces of crab. Halibut fresh but needed salt. The fried dinner is good but very heavy. The blueberry-blackberry pie with sour cream gelato was awesome and the crème brulee was perfect.

“Fantastic atmosphere, GREAT seafood!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Many of our group of 20 ate here several times on our five day trip in Seattle. This was BY FAR the BEST seafood (and food) we experienced! We had crab cakes, Microbrewed Halibut and Chips, Jumbo Prawn cocktail, Dungeness Crab and Artichoke Gratin (dip), Applewood Smoked Salmon, Filet Mignon, chocolate cake, and Shuckers Chop Salad was one of my FAVORITE things! The ONLY thing I would not recommend was the clam chowder, unless you prefer tomato based chowder.

The service was superb and the atmosphere is relaxing and quaint. I will absolutely go back again if I'm ever in Seattle!

“Good fun, great seafood.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Compact, in the Fairmont hotel lower lobby.
We ate here twice and failed to score a wall booth..
Thanks to our excellent waiter, Jay, we enjoyed a fine birthday celebration dinner.
The oysters looked great, as were scallops and the crab and prawn salad.
I would be pleased to return.

“Great service and very good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Shuckers is within the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle and is set up in dark woods and around a bar. We had popped in earlier during our stay at the hotel for a quick, early evening, single course supper before the theatre and had enjoyed a rather good Caesar salad. We returned for my birthday a few days later.
From its name and as an oyster bar it is clear that seafood and especially oysters are a specialty so, on my birthday, I went for a dozen. I quizzed our waiter, Jay, and took his excellent and clearly comprehensive advice on the oysters on offer and enjoyed the lot.
That evening was characterised by his excellent, friendly and attentive service, excellent oysters, superb scallops for my fellow diners and a pleasant medley of grilled fresh fish and scallops for me. The dessert looked quite decadent and required more strength to put together than real creative skill - but then this is a seafood place - and the will to ignore the calorie count for an evening.
