Description: "Serious fun, damn good food." Named after the potent New Orleans cocktail, Sazerac is by far one of downtown Seattle's hippest spots. The food is fresh with deep resonant flavors, roasted and wood-fired, earthy and sensual. "This southern-style spot is destined to be a Seattle classic." -Seattle Times

“Good food and good service, but a bit noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This is a 'happening' place, and we found it a bit noisy for our taste. The food and service were good and we really can't complain.

“Great central location for happy hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Great happy hour menu and nice atmosphere for meeting co-workers and friends after work for happy hour. It is also a nice place to go for a lunch, especially like a group team lunch or something like that. Good food and drinks.

“southern flavor with seattle vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Love places with tapas. Will definitely be back soon. Great wine list with prices reasonable for the quality and several less expensive choices. Server provided us complimentary dirty rice croquettes and crispy "truffles." I wouldn't have ordered these, but will definitely order the croquettes next time. Since they were out of roasted beets (they were roasting more but didn't expect they would be finished in time for us), we each had a cup of the gumbo which was lick the bowl delicious--just a mere hint of heat. We will probably lunch there sometime soon just for the gumbo.

We then shared an entrée of pork cheeks. Presentation was beautiful. Pork was cooked to mouthwatering perfection. My fiancée joked that he must love me because he was willing to share ;-)

Although we were both nearly sated, I couldn't resist dessert. The coconut panna cotta infused with lime was heaven in every bite. My fiancée chose to close his meal with the chef's cheese board. Obviously we don't mind taking home leftovers :-) As we were concluding our meal, our server, who noted our disappointment in missing out on the roasted beets, brought a complimentary order of beets to our table along with a to go box.

We may have awarded 5 stars, but the service started out a bit rocky although it became exponentially better. Also, food seemed to arrive from the kitchen on their timeline rather than ours. Bacon wrapped dates were much smaller and dried out compared to those we've had elsewhere. This is definitely not exclusive to Sazerac, but we find the huge tv over the bar to be very distracting during the dinner hours. We are seeing this more often in nicer restaurants with bars open to the dining room.

“Great Brunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Had brunch here on Sunday morning. The menu options were great. BF had their special Cajun style Eggs Benedict, he enjoyed it. I had the two egg breakfast with poached eggs. They were over cooked, and came with three eggs. All in all a great brunch, although the food took a very long time to be served. Our waiter was fantastic, and very attentive.

“Soooo good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

The Sazerac offers unique and great food with a comfortable and friendly environment. The restaurant and bar are quite busy on the weekends but there a many tables to accommodate. I highly recommend for lunch or dinner. Family, business or couples will enjoy!
