I travel frequently and enjoy trying new restaurants. This one interested me so, not having a reservation, I arrived somewhat early. The maitre-d was very pleasant and invited me to return in about 1/2 hour when they could serve me as he would ensure to seat me then. I did return and was seated. I ordered my meal however when the plate arrived it was somewhat cold. I tried it and it was good but just not hot enough. The server did not return soon enough to ask how my meal was so I ate a portion of it and left the rest. By the time he returned, I was not interested in finishing it. I explained what was wrong with it albeit it the entre was good. He did offer to re-heat it however at a restaurant like this one, I didn't think re-heating was an option nor did I want it boxed up to take with me (which he asked). The maitre-d came saw my glass of vino was empty so came by to ask if I would like another glass which I said yes. He also asked me about dessert so I ordered the creme brulee. The server returned a while later with the wrong dessert but before I could point it out, he was gone to serve other tables. Again, the maitre-d saw it was the incorrect dessert so apologized and returned with the correct dessert. All in all, it was an unexciting dining experience. The server returned with my bill not offering to "comp" even one glass of wine or the dessert for the poor dining experience. Had it not been for the attentive maitre-d (who was fixing the server's errors), I would not have left a gratuity as none was warranted. in any event, I won't dine here again. It is highly over-rated and there are many more wonderful dining experiences in Seattle.
