“Oysters for Happy Hour”

What could be better than excellent oysters on the half shell and great local micro-brew with a spouse of 15 years for a birthday? Right, nothing.

“It was good, but not great...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

I dined here alone for lunch one day.

The salmon was good and fresh, but not great (Shucker's, just down the street, was a lot better).

Bread served ONLY ON REQUEST (thought this was strange).

The waiter was really too chatty. I was alone, with a book, but preferred it that way.

I was told the Pellegrino small and large had the difference of only 1 and a half to 2 (small bottle) to 3 to 4 (large bottle) glasses. I ordered the large as a result but it was more like 6 to 7 glasses, so I felt that was annoying.

Just okay. Maybe better for dinner...

“Monster Oysters and Sea Bass”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

So I finlly was able to get my wife to ty Oysters and she really enjoyed them. The quality of the Oysters at Brooklyn's is second to none. Everything is so fresh an the service...Clearly the owner does not hire just ayone. Our waiter was so attentive, my wife asked if I could take notes and learn a few thigns from him. Not only that, but when my wife was trying to decide on two differnet items, they brought her a sample of each. I know that is common for wine, but for Food? There is a reason the Brooklyn is so successful. If you are in Seattle, you MUST stop here. The food is out of this world and the service makes you feel like Royalty.

“Seafood at it's best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

If it's fresh oysters, outstanding seafood and a great beer or wine, The Brooklyn is the place in Seattle. Have tried a number of the entree's over a 6 month period, recommend the local Oysters, the Scallops, and the Salmon. The wine is representative of the Pacific Northwest with some reasonable chardonnays and Merlot.

“Good place for a nice night out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

A relaxed atmosphere paired with great food made for a lovely night out. It isn't a cheap place, but a place to have a quiet night out. My wife and one of our friends had the halibut, first of the season, I had the tenderloin, while our other friend had a steak Oscar. All excellent choices and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a good bottle of wine. The desserts were good, although the Key Lime pie is more like a cheesecake even though its taste was good.
