We were already fans of Chihuly's work, having seen his art in Las Vegas (Bellagio Hotel), and Tacoma, but had not been to this venue. Situated right near the Space Needle, the Experience Music Project and the terminus of the monorail, this amazing exhibit is not to be missed. Even if you aren't particularly interested in art, these displays are so unique and beautiful that they can capture the imagination of just about anyone, including children and teens.
The indoor exhibit takes up several rooms, each one a different type of setting. After you've seen that, you can go outside into the garden which has many more sculptures in a botanical setting. Everything is on one level, so it is easily accessible to wheel chairs and strollers. There is also a lovely gift shop that has lots of arty and unique things, including some glass pieces by Mr. Chihuly, if price is no object! One could certainly spend a very long time taking in all the colours and shapes and amazing ideas, but you can comfortably see this exhibit in an hour or a little less.
Oh, and you are welcome to take photos, and there were lots of people, including myself, reveling in the opportunity! Check this out, you won't be sorry!
