“Elegant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

Classy, elegant hotel! A bit old fashioned. May not be the place for you if you are looking for something newer and modern. Very friendly and attentive service.

The hotel staff were accommodating, the rooms are GORGEOUS and the food... too good for words! Make sure you have a chance to meet Chef Gavin, his food knowledge and passion is contagious! He even has his own beehives on the roof!

We stayed at the Fairmont for thanksgiving weekend. The room was spacious, clean and in great condition. The lobby is very busy and can feel impersonal but we weren't looking for a personal relationship. All the staff we deal with were great and very helpful. The deal we got was fantastic through Expedia and I thought the stay was great value.

It is also very nice to have access to a pool in the hotel.

The rooms are very nice, location excellent, but what makes this such an appealing choice is the first class customer service. I can overlook a small stain in the carpet or hints that a refurbish is underway. We have stayed in all the top Seattle hotels except the Four Seasons and this is our favorite. Close behind are the Pan Pacific and Hotel 1000. The Alexis rooms are nice but the staff stinks.

I was only here for three nights for a seminar, and really enjoyed this hotel. The room was great, as was the opulent Spanish Ballroom (where much of the seminar was based). The Georgian restaurant had lunch specials for attendees, so that was a must-do. Also had drinks at Shuckers, which was bustling on a Thursday afternoon. Lots of stuff to do within walking distance, and the concierge was very helpful when I asked how to get to the Space Needle monorail and Bainbridge Island.

Stayed at this hotel for a week while attending a conference in Seattle. The inside of the hotel is elegant and stylish with a beautiful lobby and very nice rooms. The location is also very nice and close to shopping and dining areas. A minor drawback is the pool and fitness center which is of average quality, the service is very nice though. This hotel is recommended for business travel in Seattle.

Stayed with our 6 and 4 year old. They upgraded us to a suite with a king bed and pull out couch. We fit a roll away in the bedroom for our son so we were all very comfortable. Pool was fantastic for the kids and they even had a few pool toys. Hotel is classic fairmont with elegent sitting areas and dining room. We lucked out with the christmas trees being decorated for christmas. Definately recommend for families and even romantic spot with jazz music in the lounge in the evenings. Staff were professional and very helpful. We've stayed at atleast 5 other hotels downtown and will definately return to this one.
