“I wanted to love it...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed in 3 different rooms for 5 nights. For the first time, I required an accessible room due to recovering from an ankle break. The 5th floor room was wonderful and Motif would have received a great review had we had this the entire stay. We had one night there, checked out for a side trip to Victoria, and checked back in for the remaining 4 nights. The 3rd floor accessible room was next to a staff area that served the meeting rooms. It was noisy, including clanking dishes, staff radio, and a jackhammer like noise. We asked to be moved after a night.

The 9th floor accessible room was as if we were in a different hotel. While the other rooms were updated, this room was bad (there were no others available). The AC did not always work. There were no towel bars at all in the bathroom, and there was no shelf in the shower for toiletries. Think about a disabled person trying to use soap, shampoo, etc. when there is no place to put them in the shower. The room was nowhere near as good as the other rooms.

While the staff was very nice and the hotel is in a good location, I was disappointed. I really did want to love this place.

I stayed at this hotel 4 nights recently for a business conference. I would give it a B-. Everything seemed good & bad. I had a lovely view from my room, but you couldn't close the curtains so the daylight would wake me up. The bathroom was clean, but stepping in and out of the tub was treacherous. Also had a significant leak from the back of the toilet. Bell staff and housekeeping were especially friendly; front desk was not. Location was okay. Food was decent (both in the restaurant and at our meetings). I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: While the views are better, people on the top floor reported that they had no hot water in the morni...

Stayed for 5 nights in late September for a conference. Clean, new, food was outstanding as were the conference facilities and the service. Location outstanding also as within walking distance (couple blocks) of the Light Link Rail to the airport, Pike Place, shopping, etc. Am a stickler for a clean hotel and this met the mark. Granted, my understanding was that it was recently refurbished but I found everything to be in perfect, working condition. The treats left every night on the nightstand were a treat. The shower head? Lovely. Didn't want to get out. Bathroom lighting very flattering but perhaps could have been slightly brighter. Room lighting was excellent. Beds? Outstanding. All and all a great hotel. I hope I have the opportunity to return for personal vacation and will stay at the Motif.

Room Tip: I stayed on the east side and had a city view. If you book, make sure you request a high room facin...

We stayed here only one night, but wish it could have been longer. The staff were very polite and accommodating. We asked for an extra hour at check out and it was no problem at all. We booked the deal with Hotwire, and then paid an extra $20.00 for a room with a view. We enjoyed being able to look out over the water, and see down Pike st. to the market. The room was very clean and the towels were great! Nice to have free WIFI included...good signal with the wifi. I dislike paying the 32.00 for parking, but it is obvious that the parking is pretty limited downtown. It was nice to have the car in a secure lot. Great location in walking distance to the market and all of the shopping downtown. Would stay here again for sure!

I had stayed at the hotel when it was a previous name and liked it so with it being twice as much I thought it would be twice as better. I was a little disappointed. The bar on the 5th floor is a happening place so you have to share the very small elevators with party goers. The rooms are small and mine was a little dirty. The grout in the bathroom on the floor and walls had mildew and there were a toothpick on the floor behind the toilet. The bathroom is also small. I did like the rain shower head but it was a little low. They had take out menus in the room but there was not space to eat it. I did like their channel selection on the tv. The restaurant Frol!k was delicious and all the staff members were great. For the price I paid though not sure if I would stay again.

I only had a short stay here but it is a place I would book again.
The views are great from the higher floors.
Location is great. Walking distance to places like Pike Place Market, Argosy Cruises, the Great Wheel, and the Seattle Aquarium.
Rooms are beautiful but the one I had was pretty small. It was big enough for one person though.
Restaurant on property.
Cab ride was approximately $40 plus tip from SeaTac Airport.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor for more of a view of the city. Room 1912 was a view of the city but not the...

We did not have a great experience at all. Took over an hour to get extra bed linens for the spare bed that my boys. They kept bringing us mattress pads for blankets and duvet inserts for sheets. It was such a hassle. Back and forth 5 times before we got the bed linens correct Our room was next to the storage room which woke us up at 5am with someone banging around in there. The experience was not great at all.
