I was lucky to book The Red Lion on Fifth Avenue and pay only $60.00 total through Priceline! The room was very large, had robes, coffee pot, etc. The beds and pillows were very, very comfortable.
We ate at the Elephant and Castle Pub below the hotel and the food was reasonably priced and very good.
Location was wonderful. Only a 5 block walk to Pike Market Place - which we went to a few times. Only a 3 block walk to the monorail to the Space Needle.
The staff were very nice and helpful on check-in and when one of our suitcases was delayed. My husband lost his cell phone and we returned to the Red Lion after our cruise to Alaska and his phone was in the lost & found and never used! Staff were efficient and friendly.
This was our first trip to Seattle and we enjoyed it even more by staying at the Red Lion on Fifth Avenue!

Booked on Hotwire. Central to public transportation including shuttle from airport (stop one block away) qne underground and above ground busses within (two blocks). which for free will get you around central Seattle. Central to Pike Place, monorail, Pacific Place, etc.

Inside the front desk was friendly at check in, the room ample sized, bed and pillows comfortable, and the room was clean and kept clean for our 4 night stay.

Off the 3 starts hotels possible on a hotel bidding site, this was the most closest to the city center. Rooms were surprisingly large and clean. Rates are excellent when we bidding (I recall $67/ night). Good usable gym and proximity of all downtown shopping. An added bonus was that I could pick up a free wifi signal.

Parking is expensive ($27per night) which isn't unexpected for downtown.

Beds were very good. Rooms were quiet.

This property is in a great location for downtown Seattle, and within walking distance of several shops, lots of restaurants, and even the Pike Place Market and the Monorail to Seattle Center. The hotel is set back from the street curb, so if it is raining when getting out of a cab, be sure to have an umbrella in hand. Rooms are very nice, and the rates are reasonable but parking (which we did not do) is expensive - $28.00/day for self-parking. We take taxis when downtown! There is no safe in the room, but the front desk has safe deposit boxes available. The concierge was helpful, and all in all it is a very nice place to stay.
