“Lovely sea views and a quick stroll to Pike's market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

Upscale Marriott in a perfect location for Seattle sight-seeing. Pike's market is literally less than a fiver minute stroll away and the lovely waterfront is on the hotel's doorstep. It's worth the extra $$ for the view, particularly at twilight, when the sea shimmers under the moon. Clean, modern property and pleasant service. No need to look further. Stay here.

We had a corner room on the 5th floor and loved this hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff and service was excellent and the location was great. There's an elevator a half block away that gets you up the hill a block from Pike's Market. It is across the street from Anthony's restaurant and the promenade along the wharf.

The Marriott Waterfront Seattle is everything you would expect while staying at a Marriott property. The exercise room is a bit small but all the essentials are there for a decent workout. The indoor/outdoor pool is a treat and has a great deck to enjoy the sunny days. The valet parking is a bit annoying and expensive as well but as one would expect, parking downtown in a big city can be a challenge. Make sure you take everything out of the car when you arrive because if you don't, you have to get the valet to either to get it for your or else they have to bring the car up for you to get it yourself. If you are a light sleeper, try asking for a room that faces away from the back of the property as the trains do use the tracks frequently. I never had a problem but my colleague staying in a different room heard the trains. There is a Starbucks next door but it only operates on the weekdays but it is open early so coffee fans, you are in luck except the weekends. On the weekends you will have to go for a walk or go to the coffee bar downstairs.

I would rate this hotel excellent, but I had trouble at check in with my hypoallergenic room not being ready and having to wait 30 minutes to check in while it was prepared. Outside of that, my experience was flawless. This hotel is a short walk from Pike's market and the waterfront dining and shopping district. You are also within three blocks of Olympic Park and less than a mile from the Space Needle and Seattle Center. This was my second stay at the hotel and I will be back.

Room Tip: Request a balcony room on the waterfront side. It is worth the extra cost.

This Visit to Seattle was for business and pleasure . It is strategically located on the waterfront of Seattle and easily accessible to many fine restaurants , pike place market, the old curiosity shops, the Argosy cruise lines and to city park . I was very very pleased with the stellar performance of the wonderful front desk, the omelette chef who was cooking feverishly to serve all the guests in a very busy packed restaurant named the Hook and Plow on the am of 10/11/13. It tried to give a tip and he declined it. The wait staff at the restaurant were
excellent and the meals served were warm and brought to the table within less than 20 min wait time. Most of all I was impressed with the Valet service as the lineup of young men came up and unpacked our car of several suitcases and were cheerful and very professional. My hats off to the managers who carefully trained this staff as they were very very prompt, hardworking and professional as they greeted the long line of taxis and cars filled with guests coming and going at all hours of the day and night.
Across the street from the hotel is a fantastic restaurant named Anthony's just about ten steps across the street. I was very impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to business travellers and family and friends.

Room Tip: ask for the waterfront view.

We went for our wedding anniversary and asked for a King bedroom with water view. The balconies are small (standing room only) with minimal water view but it is located in a great spot in terms of being able to get around to walk to everything one would want to do. The value is also very good. The room was clean and nice but not posh or sizeable. The staff was very nice. It is not the quietest locale but again you should expect that from trying to stay on the waterfront. It is a busy waterfront! Overall we would stay there again but with the expectation that the room is on the smaller side and it is not a balcony water view that you would be inspired by.

Perfect position for a Seattle visit (main reason for picking it) - waterfront and close to the tourist center. Hotel efficiently arranged parking - gave keys to valet and that was it. Rooms a little on the small size for the price but ok.
