“Beautiful View and Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Seattle. The Marriott Waterfront was the perfect hotel for us and offers an amazing location with unbelievable views of the water. We stayed in room 601 which had a small balcony and huge windows on 2 walls. The room was not huge but perfect for us. This hotel is located right on the water and next to pike's place market. It was an easy 7 minute walk to the market. Being so close, were able to make several trips to the market during our stay. Also within walking distance is the Seattle aquarium, ferris wheel, waterfront restaurants, piers, etc. Most other things can be reached by public transportation or a short cab ride.

The Marriott staff was very nice and helpful with anything we needed. The hotel has a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub that we enjoyed. I would note that although the waterfront rooms at this hotel are a bit more pricey, they are definitely worth every penny. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle.

Room Tip: Waterfront rooms provide amazing views. Room 601 is beautiful!

SEATTLE MARRIOTT WATERFRONT HOTEL
Bell desk staff were very accommodating. Although the room was expensive, we chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of the Amtrak station, which is how we arrived in Seattle . We stayed here before our cruise, and it was an easy walk with luggage to the cruise line pier. It is also very convenient to Pike Place Market and to the bus line that took us to the Seattle Museum of Flight. We had two meals in the Hook and Plow restaurant on premises. A la Carte breakfast and dinner specials were tasty and reasonably priced for the area. Service in the restaurant was top notch.

This Marriott is perfect for a few days away. It was easy to visit downtown if you like walking up and down steep hills, and wonderful to return to this oasis for relaxation after a long day of sightseeing. Seattle has just set a record for sunny days, and it was gorgeous the entire six days is my stay.
Room 544 faces the water and is perfect for viewing all day from sunrise to sunset in October. Rainier is visible at times, and watching the many ferries cross the water is entertaining. The room's simple, sleek design made relaxing so easy; bring a good novel and your REI infuser mug to enjoy hot tea from the comfy chair with ottoman by the window.
The concierge lounge on the eighth floor is lovely with an east facing view of the water. It is a fine place to hangout after a filling breakfast or in the evening, print your boarding pass, breeze through the WSJ and USA Today and watch a game with other fans. Taryn and the others provide excellent service making it a nice stop.
Seattle offers something for everyone...plenty of fine museums, and if you are into shopping, you can walk to stores including Nordstrom, REI, Patagonia, Columbia, Eileen Fisher, Ex Officio, Pendleton, and Quicksilver among others. My favorite place is the new Chihuly Glass House next to the Space Needle at Seattle Center.
Cab service is excellent for when your legs expire and visits to the Japanese Garden in the Arboretum and other more distant sights. And you can always take a nearby ferry to some fascinating islands for a day trip or join a cruise at the piers just across the street.
I was too busy to try the pool or restaurants in the hotel, which should be lovely when the rain returns. There are nice places to hangout around the lobby and chat with friends or grab a drink. And spend time with friends and relatives you haven't seen in years.
So head to this Marriott for a break after work has worn you down. Bring your walking shoes and be prepared to breathe deeply and enjoy the best of Seattle.

The location of this Marriott is excellent for visiting Seattle. It's a just a couple of blocks away from Pike Place market, and there's even an elevator to get you from the waterfront level on Alaskan Way up to Pike Place at the foot of Lenora Street.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but lighting in the rooms is poor. Only a small percentage of the rooms seem to have waterfront views, so don't assume that you'll get one (despite the room rate). And as others have said, parking is very expensive -- I believe it was $41 plus tax daily.

The restaurant, too, is good but expensive. Continental breakfast was $15 and full buffet breakfast was $22. Plus tax and tip.

We stayed at the Marriott on the Waterfront on Sept. 15 - 16th. We were able to get an early check in which helped a lot. The rooms were clean and comfortable, service was great in the restaurant and people were friendly. The location of this hotel is perfect for being close to Pike market, and all the restaurants on the waterfront. We never had to get a cab. I would recommend this hotel to any travelers leaving on a cruise from Seattle, or just wanting to be where the action is.

Picked this hotel for convenience. We flew into Seattle and rented a car from Hertz located right in the lobby of the hotel. Half the price of renting from the airport and since we stayed our last few nights at the hotel we turned the car back in and saved enough from expensive parking to more then pay for transportation to and from the airport. (Note: the hotel has it's own towncar service that's the same price as cab fare and a much nicer ride). The rooms were clean, comfortable, well attended and a decent size for the money. You can walk anywhere in downtown Seattle with ease from the hotel. The staff was the most courteous and helpful I have ever seen at a hotel and we have stayed in some pretty swank places.

I stayed here on a business trip, but the ideal waterfront location allowed me to explore Seattle in my free time. It's just a short walk to the Public Market, the original Starbucks and Nordstrom's. There's an outdoor elevator that takes you up and down the steepest part, but you have to be okay with going up and down hills to walk the neighborhood. Ferry piers and numerous seafood restaurants also within short walk. The downside is that it's not cheap. It's a typical friendly Marriott where the room is nice but everything else is pay as you go. Breakfast and internet are extra. Parking is valet and expensive so it helps if you don't bring a car. There's a Starbucks next door if you need quick breakfast and a free connection. I needed a late checkout, which should be a benefit of my status with Marriott, but there was a charge of almost $60 dollars.

Room Tip: I was a little worried about the noise level because of a large group of Green Bay football fans nea...
