“Run don't walk! Fabulous Flavors, very fresh and tasty.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

What a delightful family run Ethiopian place. Warm decor greets you in this small but quite busy restaurant that serves fresh and perfectly priced foods. I loved the framed travel poster that states "Ethiopia 13 Months of Sunshine!"

We shared a vegetarian platter as you get a chance to sample many items at once that way, and how one person could eat one I'll never know. We were hungry and the plate still had food on it when we left.

Surprised how busy it was but when you combine friendly staff, good flavor and super value what do you expect. More white people than I expected but hey it's Seattle. They have an African following too and it would appear many cab drivers make it a regular stop.

We would go back in a flash. It's been in business for over ten years and in this location for five the owners told us. Go there tip well and enjoy the feeling you are somewhere other than near Sam's Club in Aurora, you will have a meal that will transport you out of the rain.

“Ethiopian Cuisine Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Not just a meal, it's an experience. My first Ethiopian meal was a pleasant surprise. The aroma in this restaurant whets your appetite. The meal is served in a large tray and a basket of rolled injera (sourdough flatbread). Our entrées were savory seasoned meat stews (lamb, chicken, or beef). Vegetarian entrées are also available. The waitress was kind enough to explain how to eat our meal (without making us feel stupid). FYI - you tear off a piece of injera and use it to scoop up a bite of meat with your hands. It was fun eating with my hands and kinda messy, but they'll give you lots of napkins and a moist towelette after the meal. A variety of Ethiopian beers are available (light and dark) as well as a full bar.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with Ethiopian pieces, providing an ethnic atmosphere. The background music suited the ambiance well. During our visit there was a diverse group of patrons. A group of men communed in the bar area and watched soccer on a flat-screen TV. This restaurant may be a community hangout. There is a cozy lounge area adjacent to the bar. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. In summary, our visit was not just a meal; it was a great Ethiopian cuisine experience.

“Great taste”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

This was my first time eating ethiopian food, I've lea learned from my friends coming with me to this place about the bread, this place had it a bit stronger than other places, pretty vinegary, but as soon as you dip it in to the sauces/stews the taste changed a lot. Meat and vegetarian plates were delicious, we all ate from a single gigantic plate. The ambiance was nice, decor and traditional table look very good. We acted a big variety of beers, from 6, 2 were my favorite, the rest were just like a regular blonde type. Very inexpensive. Great service.
