“NO ROOMS READY”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Dozens of tired, disgruntled people draped all over lobby waiting well past 4pm for rooms to be cleaned AND at least 6 employees standing around chatting at check-in desk. REALLY! Go clean the rooms! No offers of complimentary beverage or even a drink of water while waiting. Also, location is not so great an area. Upon arrival there was a person sprawled on the entry steps outside, obviously passed out!

Room Tip: 2 BD Suite excellent for big families.

This was a clean friendly hotel with amenities which were nice. Very convenient to three wonderful restaurants - walking distance across the street. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again when in Seattle, WA

We stayed here for two nights be for our Alaskan cruise. We loved the beautiful location , right in front of Union Lake. the tram ran right at the front door of this property. The buffet breakfast was very comprehensive, and well organized. The front desk personnel were both friendly and helpful. As an Marriott gold elite member, I always stay in Marriott property. Unfortunately, this location being gold elite means nothing, so please do not expect any sort of upgrade, nor special amenities. As well as the physical appearance once inside. The rugs are stained, worn-out looking, and our suite was not as clean as many Residence Inns I've had the pleasure of staying in. The bathroom walls, door, and tug looked very dirty. And as the hotel seemed to be fairly sold out. We were unable to really change rooms.

We had intended to stay only 3 days at this Residence Inn but ended up staying 5 because one of our kids came down with tonsillitus and our plans changed. Nevertheless, we were very comfortable with our two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite. It would have been a catastrophe if we were all in one room! The hotel offers a free, all-encompassing breakfast -- there's something for everyone -- and if it isn't exactly in the middle of downtown Seattle, it's certainly close enough. We didn't have to take public transportation because we had a car, so I don't know how that would have worked out. The front desk was attended by very helpful staff who we got to know quite well due to our endless barrage of questions about everything Seattle, so no complaints there! Any housekeeping concerns were addressed immediately and we received a follow-up phone call to make sure we were satisfied. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay again.

Transportation just in front of the hotel, restaurant near by, marina and museum. From the hotel to downtown with the ''tram'' about 10 minutes and we have'd to cross the street in downtown to catch the ''monorail'' to the SpaceNeedle........just great......

Room Tip: we choose a 2 bedrooms suite, it was perfect...very quit. It was on the 6th floor with a ''c...

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were great, the food was great, spacious, clean and comfort suites. We felt so relaxed during our stay. Handy to restaurants and city transit. We could walk out front and take the street car or bus transit, which was easy to use. I would recommend city transit as parking in Seattle is very expensive. Plus it is not so bad using transit. Surprisingly, it was very quiet in our suite. We would definitely stay again!
