We decided to travel to Seattle for New Year's and booked this hotel via Hotwire. We got a great deal (I believe it was around $60 per night). As a bonus, we were able to easily walk to the Space Needle and Seattle Center to ring in the New Year and watch the fireworks display there. This was great, because there were cars jammed all up and down the streets during this time, and being able to walk helped us avoid the traffic.
Breakfast was good. They have make your own waffles, which were delish, and other goodies to go along with them. A very satisfying meal for a "continental" breakfast. Also, they have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at night.
Our room was on an upper floor with a blacony. The view was of a vacant lot with construction, which wasn't so great...but who wants to hang around outside on a balcony in Seattle in January, anyway? Once the vacant lot is built upon, the view won't be so ugly. But, that's not the hotel's fault.
The room was not super fancy, but it was clean, and had ample towels, and beds were fine. I thougt for the price we paid, we got a pretty good deal. I can't really think of much to complain about.
Well...I take that back...the location is a TAD on the semi-scary side. One has to pass a small park on the way to the Space Needle (if one is walking to it) and some homeless men seemed to be living in that park. But, they were just minding their own business, so I guess it wasn't really threatening...just a little weird and sad.
Overall, we were satisfied, and have no reason to NOT return again.
