We had high hopes for this place after all the great reviews and positive press, and the chef reputation is excellent. So, we were very surprised that the food was pretty uninspired and, we felt, not as good as others in its class and price range. Appetizers and small plates were of the type we could find anywhere, cheese, a hummus trio, olives, etc. We had mostly small plates and shared. The entree "special" we ordered of lamb meatballs came in a tomatoey sauce that was kind of thick and sweet and seemed like it could have been served at any ordinary restaurant. I agree with other reviewers that the pita bread was very good, the best thing really, of what we ordered. What does it say when the bread is the best dish? Hm. We just expected more creativity from the Tilth mastermind. There are so many other good restaurants in Seattle, we won't be hurrying back to this one.
